New Ranked Queue System

I really do not like this new system. I played with my friend a lot and he finally got me to do my promotional games. He has actually just hit gold in the games we played, and i managed to go 6-4 in my matches.

So once I got my rank I was no longer able to duo with him anymore, since I got placed in Bronze 3 ( was Silver V the last two seasons), and he is gold.

So now I have to grind my way up to silver just to enjoy the game with him again? Really? What difference does it make if I was able to play with him in my promos than playing with him after I got my rank? I get the elo booster shit but come on. This is lame as fuck. I hate solo queue, I like playing with friends.
