is there no way to protect the team which is down a man? i just played a game where i went 19-5-11 and the rest of my team did similarily well, going a combined 43-28 in kills and coming close to winning the game, yet falling short because at the 40 minute mark, excecuting a 4v5 teamfight is exceedingly difficult, our support thresh left, costing us the game almost 100% certainly. is there no recourse at all for this situation? it happens so often that its a huge problem, keeping players out of ranks they should otherwise attain, ive lost countless series' due to people leaving games (not to mention server drops but thats neither here nor there), its really more frustrating than toxic people, at least you can just mute those and continue to play, yet that problem has been addressed with laudable efficiency. is there absolutely no way to address this problem which could be argued to cause more undue losses and/or frustration than the toxicity of some people in the community with the same attentiveness? im really not trying to whine or anything, just wondering if this problem is being addressed on any level whatsoever, is there any talk of monitoring games where one side is down a person and either giving them some sort of loss prevention or at the very least losing fewer lp? ive lost over 20 lp for a 4v5 loss that there is almost literally no way around several times. its a major source of frustration, losing games that most if not all people would say should not be lost, and would not be if the person in question had not left, but which was unavoidable under the circumstances. i understand that its not an easy problem to solve, but i really think it would ease peoples minds, i know it would ease mine, if there was something in the pipes to address what is clearly a major problem in the community, and could be said to be the most extreme problem left after you addressed the toxicity problem so well. look forward to any response i get, thank you very much.

holy block of text.

There is a way...it's called reporting. Nothing else can be done or else it will be abused. You can't protect yourself by getting lost prevented etc...or else people will just realize the inevitable and start leaving games knowing that they'll get forgiven.

i dont understand how that last part relates to what i said, obviously the person who left wouldnt get loss prevented or have their lost lp reduced, it would only apply for those unfortunate souls who they impact negatively. any player who left a game would ineligiblize (fck it, its a word now) themselves for any reduced loss of any kind. reporting doesnt do much it seems, especially right now with the tribunal down, as its still a major problem, and with how well they handled the toxicity problem, i was just hoping there was something in the pipes for this as well.
