Selected Ally Champions in Draft/Ranked UNBANNABLE

I just went into a game planning to try something new as a jungle option. Thresh jungle. I told my team and said I was planning it unless support wanted thresh. Our adc said "Fuck no" and banned him immediately. I picked a new champion to jungle with. They were banned. I select another champion. Wanna guess what happened? Last ban on our team was that champion! So every single one of my teammates banned my champion except for the player that didn't have one (and myself).

Why is this allowed? Why is your team allowed to troll like this and prevent you from playing anything THEY don't want you to?

I think some players are following this Singed Support business and following the lead Riot is setting. Meta should not be enforced by Riot OR players. That is unfair for creative players who are tired of playing the same thing, innovative picks make the game more fun. You know this speech already I'm sure.... Continuing on,

The point is I believe you should prevent champions a player selects from being banned by allies.

The problem here is, that champions who you want to ban the most are usually the most popular as well. I.e. The only thing that kept the game playable last season at certain point was Zed's 86% banrate. This wouldn't be possible if your allies could stop you from banning Zed.

I understand your pain and agree that Riot should not be enforcing the meta or allowing the sheep that make up the majority of this community to enforce the meta.

But making champions unbannable just by selecting them would also be used to troll by preventing broken champions from being banned out. Your best bet is to just not show your pick while your team is banning.

i played Janna jungle once, the trick is dont fcking say anything or select them, make it a surprise so you dont have to come here and cry about it

but really, when i see some one wants to play a champ thats 5 minutes old in ranked, no thanks

I totally agree with the first part of this post. I've had that shit happen to me before when I was playing teemo top. They didn't like the champ and believed the meme so they banned my champ. I've also had some people just straight trolling but ban my champ or not they'll int in game anyways. I think the benefit from preventing accidental banning of pick/ban champs that your teammates want outweighs the potential trolling, but then again you would only have 1 ban prevention per teammate and if they do genuinely want that champ it's not really trolling.

Though, you shouldn't troll just to troll. Riot should enforce what the majority of players want and the players want the meta. If you want to innovate, do so as a group of 5 or ask in lobby being prepared to pick something else if they say no. Blind pick is big for innovation if you want an off meta pick as there are no bans and you get the role you call unless you get trolled. Draft pick is like ranked practice, so people usually take it much more seriously.

Nice. Downvotes for less troll.
