We need ranked Team Builder, and I think this guy has an awesome concept for it's implementation.

"FruityPlace | Ich spiele Spiele! c: 14 hours ago Ranked Teambuilder, with the exeption that you only select your role. Not your champ so that counterpicking is still possible."

I found this comment from Youtube on Sky Williams video (I have added a link), and I really believe that both Sky and that FruityPlace fella' are onto something, we should really address that some people just excel with and wish to, sometimes dangerously so, do a particular role.

Granted everyone should become competent in all roles, but everyone loves to specialize, I know I do. That's why I pew pew as ADC all day.

Hopefully someone catches word of this, well cya. v-v

im talking about the ireliacarrysu players that have a 60% winrate on one champ and 40% on the rest.

Rolls are defined by the players. Riot does tend to balance around this. But they're not set in making rolls this way. Even Team Builder allows you to change positions on everything.

You think people enforcing the meta is bad now? A team can now choose to group with you. They're going to look up your name. If they don't like what they see you are not joining. If it doesn't show who you are, what's stopping people from trolling this way?

Pick support(instant queue)
Pick something bad
a. Someone dodges, you get no punishment
b. No one dodges, you act cute all game to avoid the tribunal(aka Skynet.LoL)

This is not a solution.

What we need is Riot to have logs of champ select and post game. Then we need them to disable champ select chat till 3-5 seconds after everyone connected. Last have the chat log show what the server sees. Instead of instantly seeing what you typed first. Kind of like in an MMO generally you don't see what you typed right away if you are lagging. Because everything goes through the server first.

These three things would remove a lot of the he said - she said as well as the ability to punish trolls who are last pick and go "mid or feed".

Ranked isn't about getting your champion or roll. It's about playing the map. A pro doesn't need their best champion to beat 99% of the community. They'll just use the map better than you. They'll go ADC Morde and still wreck you.

Problem with "mid or feed" people are that they come to ranked unprepared to play the other rolls. They play it like they're playing a normal. Ranked is for those looking for the competitive game. Not those just looking to play around on their favorite champion. This bring people to rage because they didn't get their way. A lot of people bring toxic behavior to themselves. Unable to accept that they might be the problem. Even if they're not the ragers, they could be the cause.

I think you are making a lot of assumptions, I am not sure how you can get that people enforcing the meta is bad, from what I have said. Also you are saying that people do not see who you are; how do they not? They do see who you are, via your summoner name, in the normal Team Builder. But besides, if you do see someone, like you do in the normal ranked, and you know they are unskilled, you have only one option to avoid them, and you are penalized for it anyway, you dodge.

It does make sense though that through doing Team Builder Ranked, it would further reinforce the mentality of not taking to the other roles, and broadening your skill and knowledge of the game as a whole, I suppose not everyone would take responsibility in learning and developing competency in all the roles, such as I hold myself standard to.

I only found that that one persons comment was a potential solution to an ongoing issue, but over all worthy of discussion and debate.

I forget though that one of the things I do enjoy most about Draft, is the fact I am forced into doing something that I normally don't do very often, I play Jungle a lot at the later times in NA though, due to the faster que times. x)

I suppose the problem is more so a societal and educational one, perhaps even cultural, we got a lot of "bad seeds", one can say, that take advantage of the anonymity of the internet, but oh well.
