Dont bother wasting time in ranked

Unless you plan on literally wasting 8 hours a day on ranked to maybe reach the next tier, dont bother. The system is so fucked that good players are matched with terrible players and when you finally think you can win your series, good ole riot matchmaking puts you with the worst of the worst as if to say "hey if you can win with these fuccbois, i guess you deserve a promotion".

But wait it gets better, youll reach that tier and feel great but then youll lose 2 matches and get sent right back down to spend 30 more hours of getting right back.

Worst ranked system for a game out there to be honest. Good job riot keep working on those skins instead of balancing out your matchmaking system.

Nice name, if you have 4 idiots on your team, you're just as likely to have 4 idiots on the other team, here is the kicker, that 5th guy, you, and that other 5th guy on the other team, well if hes worse than you, than you have a great shot at winning. Riot doesn't have a computer dedicated to matching you with people who will make you lose, trolls and afk's happen but overall the more you play the higher you will climb until you plateau at your skill cap, happens to everyone.

Yah, but matchmaking does suck:

1st game, totally balled over the enemy team; inhib down before 15 minutes pass.

2nd game, completely command my lane. My team is a complete embarrassment and is totally destroyed.

3rd game. .

ah, look, it goes on. It shouldn't be a total crap shoot what your team is. If I've played 300 games, then matchmaking should put me with 9 other players, of relatable skill. It shouldn't be "hey, your team is way better than the enemy team. . .now, try to beat a team in the reverse scenario." In the first games of a season, that's understandable, but it shouldn't still be happening--commonly--after playing 300 games. There may as well not be any matchmaking, and we're just placed with any people, is how it feels a lot of the time.
