Riot Banned Me for 2 Weeks

As mentioned in the title, I was banned for 2 weeks because of this conversation use in the in game chat box:

I ASK THE PUBLIC TO HELP ME SUGGEST TO THE DEVELOPERS TO REMOVE THAT BOX ENTIRELY AND MAKE PRE-MADE IN GAME CHAT COMMENTS CREATED BY RIOT. RATHER THAN WE CHAT WHICH IS NOT NECESSARY SINCE WE HAVE VOIP VOICE OVER INTERNET PROTOCOL IN THE GAME, STRANGERS WILL JUST HAVE TO NOT COMMUNICATE BY TYPING AND RATHER PRE-MADE CHAT BY RIOT AND FRIENDS IN PARTY CAN USE THE NEWLY CREATED IN GAME VOICE CHAT. MY ISSUE IS THAT WE ARE ALL HUMAN, AND WE SOMETIMES GIVE IN TO TOXIC CHATS AND DELIBERATE FEEDS AND WHAT NOT THAT MAKE US APPEAR TO BE HOSTILE WHEN WE ARE NOT TRYING TO. PLEASE HELP ME START THIS THREAD TO GET DEVELOPERS TO REMOVE THE CHAT OPTION ENTIRELY FROM THE GAME. PRE-MADE CHAT SUCH AS EMOTICONS WILL BE BETTER SUITED IN THE GAME TO PREVENT PLAYERS FROM GOING AGRO IN CHAT. PLEASE HELP ME. LETS ALL REMOVE THAT CHAT FEATURE FROM LEAGUE.

send ticket to support, that chatlog CANT trigger the 14d ban. ..alone..

anyway, stop using the chat as a commentary of the match. noone cares.

Its that attitude that allows for people to come feed and have toxic conversations during the game and in turn make it harder to win. And to mention react and have this type of outcome. You don't care then don't comment on this thread. Please send worthy replies all. Thanks.

learn to read, after you learn to behave.

NO ONE cares about your INGAME chat commenting what a teammates is doing or not doing during a match.

u use chat to give inputs. end. u use chat to compliment teammates regardless. end.

all the rest u can and are allowed to write in chat is not inherent to the fight. and can lead to mutes or to players losing patience.

  • your support dont support you and leave? LEARN to hug tower and lasthit from there when u can.
  • your jungler doesnt camp your lane? ping ONCE, write in chat "bot no wards/bot pushed hard easy gank" END.

Yes. Riot chat ban system is just a bait for people to speak and then get banned so they make new account and buy the same skins.

It's a profit system that works. If you think Riot actually cares about toxicity you are a delusional sheep.

Get perma banned > make new acc > buy skins/xp boosts etc and repeat.

That's why the system is automated and they refuse to hire like 20 people per region and pay them minimum wage to review chat logs 8 hours a day.

That's why you get perma banned for typing 1 bad word once during a 30 minute game out of 10 games. Yes you did get punished 3 times before, but that doesn't mean we are animals here who deserve to get 500 hours + taken away from us for saying 1 bad word.

I understand the monetary gain from making a new account over again and over again I got that point. I totally agree with you. But there can still be a chance that we can get the chat feature removed. As long as skins are being created money will always be gained. Do not forget that there is a chance that some people being permanently banned will not return to play this game. It is a loss to Riot too. I myself will not return if I am permanently banned. I'm sure some others think alike.

You need to stop talking & reflect on your toxic attitude. This is just a bunch of excuses to refuse from acknowledging your immature behavior. Whether people buy the skin or leave the game is up to them, nothing to do with Riot.

We are past that in some of the replies. There is no excuse. I am not blaming riot for my toxic behavior. I already acknowledged that I was toxic and I am working on it. The issue was that we all make mistakes and some can be repeated over and over again. This is why we're having a discussion of removing the chat feature because I guess we are not all perfect as you are and give in to toxic behavior. Only because I am human I am saying so, I am not going to beat a dead horse with your Beatz... please keep up w/ the forum. But I do appreciate your reply nonetheless.

I know what self control is, and its a practice. It's not always used. There are instances when HUMANS lose control.. We are not all perfect... I'm sure you have lost your control at times. In any circumstance where you felt matters were getting worst or just simply falling apart.

Instances.... in League's case, typically requires you to do it multiple times for it to be a problem. I'm unsure of why you have such a weak view of the strength in humanity, but you're stretching a bit here. My point stands.

Good of you to mention "weak view of strength in humanity" only because I am repeatedly offended in games. 9/10 games i play i am verbally abused because either i am not helping a teammate or because of my mistake. How does one cope with repeated offenses from other players than? lol Not stretching it, just telling you what happens to me daily in League's case.......

Individuality can be used as a tool in a sense. When I run into any particular person, regardless if they're a troll, toxic player, or even an all around good person, I know full well I'll probably not see that person again, the majority of the time. When I see a player exhibiting poor behavior, I see that player, not the community. I see someone who I may potentially mute and report in the end, and as a result, will also potentially leave me in a sour mood at a varying degree.

I see it that way, because that's all it is. Despite how large the community is in this game, I'm not dealing with everyone in the community. What I'm dealing with, is this one or more people, in this one instance. Now naturally, when I see the discussion of toxicity in League, it simplifies it to refer to it as a problem within the community as a whole, but that one factor still doesn't change. The reason for this, is because I deal with positive players as well, earnest people. Those that are actually trying to put an effort in not only the game, but as someone being part of the team, however which way they want to go about that. Yes there are times where it feels like the rate of toxic players outweighs the positive, but this is also something that never changes.

More on topic to your rebuttal though. Keep in mind, there needs to be a limitation when it comes to competitive gaming in general, especially if you aren't as tempered as a monk. Feeling angry after a game or two? Take a break, breath, do something else entirely unrelated to the concept of either this game or competition, whatever works. But intentionally putting yourself in an instance where you're liable to just get angrier is being unfair to both yourself, and those you're with.

I really appreciate your advice and explaining your practices. You've made the picture clearer for me on what to expect in the future. It will never change as long as chat feature is here. I need to change and be a better person and walk away when I cant cope with the league environment. Removing a feature I guess wont change persons attitude. There are alternatives to just removing a chat, like removing myself from the game for a bit. I got it. Thanks. I will just leave this thread open to discussion for more input on the issue. You are a great summoner i gathered. Thanks for all information.

So removing the chat feature is punishment? Did you read my post closely? The mere fact that someone is toxic in chat and deliberately trying to cause the team to lose....that initial attempt to work ones nerve, wouldn't that alone distract you from such a hard game? Would you not react besides just a mute?

I consider it punishment, because taking away a form of communication feels like a handicap to someone like myself, who'd rather have that flexibility with the team, especially if it's with strangers. Pings don't always relay messages properly, and I'm not about to party up with randoms I happen to come across, just to make use of a feature I'd rather never use, due to that specific reason. An argument is only distracting if I let it be distracting. Enticing myself to argue with a complete stranger due to rage or otherwise, or due to their actions, eventually makes me part of the problem if I were to ever act on it.

OK, I am happy with that response. It made sense. It explains your attitude towards the removal of the chat box clearly. But that's the very issue I am trying to address too. This is why i said for Riot to enhance the chat feature. As time passes ideas are developed. Maybe a system can be in placed and upgraded through time to help express your ideas through pre-made chats. That way there would be no gateway to express hostility towards one another through chat. Pings do a great job alerting others in a particular situation but its not always the answer that you are right as well that why: maybe the pings and a pre-made chat feature can work in conjunction to get that point across. ? I am trying to stay positive on this subject.
