Substitutions for Competitive Play

I just completed my first ever match of Competitive and went 1-1. I had a great experience and it was a ton of fun, but what if one of my teammates can't make it for the 2nd or 3rd rounds? I think League of Legends should add a 6th player that can be swapped in and out as a substitute if someone cant commit to that exact time, that way everyone else gets the joy of playing. I do not see why not. As long as they are not already on another team. Also sometimes people get locked out......then at least you could get your last to fill in.
