Does Riot even do Q/A / user testing?

How come every time you guys seem to come out with a useful feature it cannot be implemented intelligently? Do you need more man power on your basic Q/A testing team? I've actually applied a few times for your sys admin jobs. If you hire me I'll fill a dual role.............

  • Allowing users to remake/quit the game due to afk in the beginning was asked for a long time. Why would you want to play a game taking anywhere between 30-60 minutes of your time as a 4v5? So they implement this feature. Sounds good in principle. I've had to play a ton of games 4v5 for no reason which could have been avoided since release date ( im talking the VERY beginning ) with proper Q/A testing and customer evaluation. now onto this feature....

  • If the other team indeed has an "AFK/leaver" you award the other team with nothing. I just spent 15 minutes in your queue though. Why not award the winning team RP/IP, and don't "dock" the losing team? Seems pretty awful in my opinion. I certainly didn't choose to leave / go afk. What if this happens 4-5-6 times in a short span? You think this is a fun experience for the user? Do you guys care about the user experience? I'd hope so, it's how you've been enabled to be come so profitable.....I hope ya'll aren't taking the blizzard route.

  • If the above scenario happens and I had a temporary ban ( for leaving or my constant issues with riots servers using my high speed connection ) I just go back into the queue waiting 20 more minutes....do you see the logic here? I could possibly sit for an entire 100 minutes playing 5 2 minute games where someone left....who would want to do that? Why would I wait another 20 minutes because another person on the other team left? After this happens, what are the odds I play more this day? About zero percent chance....What about for users who just reached ranked after grinding to level 30 in normals? They experience this and you think it's a fun experience?

It's almost scary how much of a collectivist disposition you guys have towards the game. Who has this kind of time? We just want to play a few games...or one.....Again, basic Q/A testing.....Other team leaves and you get nothing even when in a series. I see the "fair" word a lot by riot, not even close to sure what they are referring to.

Here's what isn't fair: you guys literally consistently and constantly wasting my time when I try to play your game. It is annoying because you tried improving the game and the after effects made the changes almost meaningless.

Q....to...the....A.

Okay you just sound like a whiney child. If you are so great at Q/A Testing, why don't you either make a game yourself, that gives you all the features you want? Apply for a job with them (doubt you are qualified) or, my personal favorite option, go find your pacifier and sit down and be quite.

So, Q/A is Question and Answer, something suited for an Ask Riot, or some such. However, Riot does have a tester team, its called the Playtest Team. They are a group of ~Diamond players, that test certain gameplay functions for Riot.

Well, sometimes people leave because of connection error. If you were always allowed to "remake" any time a user dropped connection it would punish people for a glitch and they'd then be locked out for 20 min because of a glitch. Also, it could be totally abused, especially if the result was to take away rewards from the 'winning' team. This would be easy to abuse. Sure, it sometimes results in bad experiences, but the blame is on those people who rage-quit or leave before a game is over. Also, you can win a 4v5. If you were such a great developer/QA person you'd realize these abuses and deal with it. I see no suggestion of a real solution in your post, so, uh, try again.
