Matchmaking Needs to be Examined

I would like to start this discussion by stating that I am a player willing to learn and adapt.......I've been playing the game for the past 5mths and I'm disgusted by the matchmaking process which Riot has implemented. I cant understand why riot would allow someone who plays just above average in most games, who focuses objectives to fall from s3 to s5 within 24hrs. The hypothesis I came up with for such an ordeal is that they may be some biases towards players who spend more money on the game as for others. I have a friend who plays the game as well and this is not meant to be taken in a disrespectful way but I'm clearly a class or 2 above him, however riot sees it fit to give this individual s1 and to give me s3. I couldn't comprehend why at first but I comforted myself by saying well he won more promos than me (idk how) but I didn't argue about it. Later I played ranked and won 4 in a row got me 86lp. I was happy and ready to climb the elo ladder then I lost 5. I dropped to s4 I was sad but I didn't play as well as I'm used to so I didn't complain. I ranked back to s3 and got to 79lp. I lost 6 this time and went to s4. I didn't complain still and that's when everything changed. I lost probably close to 8 and dropped to s5. I've had enough of the injustice because in the matches I've lost I either carried or pushed objectives yet my team mates kept feeding, going afk or being toxic. I'm not going to lie I myself was toxic but after doing some research I've discovered that being toxic does not help so instead I encourage or stay silent. My unskilled friend buys a lot of skins and all my friends who are less skilled than me who spends a lot on skins get good match ups and when they lose its no more than 2 in a row. Why does the match making benefit the rich (spenders) more than the poor (conservatives).????

there's deff. a difference in the players each person gets paired with, and to start over and lose all rune pages, runes, champs level and skins is too much.

This game was designed to level lock and force you to make a new account just to get more cash from you for skins

I've gone on hard streaks in both directions.

A few weeks ago I won 7 ranked matches in a row to go from S2 0LP to S1. I also believe I went 11/12 in that period.

I went 8-2 in my first ever placements for S1. I proceeded to lose 6 straight to demote to S2. Won 1, lost 2, quit ranked for months, came back and lost 3 more to demote to S3 (so went 1/12 in that period - notice the symmetry?).

I received some RP cards for Christmas 2014. I activated them right away, bought several skins before starting ranked in February. I have not bought any more RP since starting ranked.

Point I'm making is I've had the same total spending on this account and went through two separate periods where one was a 1W-11L and the other an 11W-1L. It's a mixture of luck and skill. When I won 1 of 12 I was playing not quite as well AND got some god-awful teams. When I won 11 of 12 I had practiced up in normals and played really well AND had pretty darned good teams. In the former there were probably 2 or 3 or more games I could have won had I played better. In the latter there were definitely 2 or 3 or more games that I had to hard carry and definitely would have lost had I not played so well.

You can try to say that you're "a class ahead of" your friend, but that's entirely your opinion. How do you know you're better? The only thing that matters in this game is getting the Win, and he gets more of them. It may be due to better teams (and luck is definitely a factor - if you're playing under 100 games luck can make a pretty noticeable appearance) but there's also elements of skill outside of KDA and turrets/dragons that lead to winning games that aren't easily seen.

Biggest suggestion is to work on late game decision making. That made the biggest difference for me.
