How to counter a Yi?

Out of all the op champions out there, yi is my most concerned champion to play against. While he deals 3 types of damage all he has to do is auto. I don't understand why people complain about Zed when you can dodge the shurikens while against a yi you just take autos all day. Think of a late-game fighter champion then make him/her go against Yi. Now think of that late-game champion going against Zed. Against a zed you before, you only had to build one item, now against a yi you have to build 3 items. I cri knowing they won't nerf yi and i cri because no one cares and will downvote this post because i'm complaining.

He doesnt do magic damage anymore after the removal of Devourer.

yi isnt op at all.. go look at his winrate. After the devour changes it made him weaker surprisingly with the uprising of other champs. If you have a basic team (at least one tank and some cc on others) yi shouldnt be a problem at all. People complain about zed because they removed one of the only counters to his ult which was the old qss. Why not complain about ekko (who is my fav champ) who allows you to make multiple mistakes due to his ult and infinite kiting ability with his e and q when you build him tanky?

Save stuns for when he goes in. I play Braum support a lot so when I fight against a Yi and he decides to Q engage I ult.

If he can walk up to your team without needing to Q (and he survives) then you've already lost = you've fed him already.

Hard CC counters Yi. That is the only thing.

item 3030 + summoner 4 + item 3157 will give you 4-5 seconds of get away time from his 7 seconds of ult and then use any CC to get away further. If you can't get away/kill, then it doesn't matter if it is Yi or sej, you weren't supposed to survive.

They removed his core items this last patch that passed so he shouldn't be doing as much magic damage anymore. Attack speed slows and armor should counter Yi when he's balanced (along with hard cc).
