Just played a Riven built full DPS. No tank items at all she had 2k hp but she was able to maintain her shield 100% of the time as the cooldown is like 3 or 4 seconds. With her mobility / damage / tankiness / and CC shes way over power. IMO Is there something that can counter that kit other than insanely heavy CC
Perma CC4 votesShe has been. riot doesn't care though because favoritism. Just like Ahri's been broken for years and they do nothing about her... She also prob has the highest rate of Skin releases. Riot does what makes them the most money... they don't give a shit about the overall player base. If they did then Lethality and Edge of Night would be hotfixed already.

Riven's not supposed to build tank items. She is a melee carry with no way to bypass the front line without flanking or flash. That means she needs to have more survivability than a long range mage.
She is not tanky. End of discussion. If you think she is, it's because you're throwing literally all of your damage at her shield.
You can kite her and kill her from range. Snares, grounding, and silences heavily fuck her.

I mean... 1 spell is usually the cc spell you are using to peel her... and you can't use another spell to pop edge of night first then cc her because that takes around 2 seconds... she can kill you in less then 2 seconds. Edge of Night just makes her flash cc chain one shot even harder to peel. So I don't know wtf you're talking about.

How tf does it take 2 seconds to press two buttons? Most mages can cast spells simultaneously, too. Hell, their entire kit revolves around using 4 abilities in the space of a second.

The level of skill tho to time it just perfectly is just too high. No item should put that much pressure on an enemy player. Item's aren't supposed to be oppressive. The Item is getting hotfixed for a reason so the fact that you're trying to defend it is pretty sad. Riot's already confirmed that its broken and that it breaks the kits of several champions.

If you can't hit two abilities on someone dashing at you in a straight line... kys. As in, keep yourself safe, because there's no way you'll survive any bruiser in the game.

Rivenin1 votesA good Riven would make you believe that. If you don't play riven, but found her easy because you had success when playing her in a few games, you would believe that. She's really good at dueling, and killing 1 or two targets quickly. She can kill like an assassin, but once she goes in, she can't leave as easily as zed, Lb, kat or become untargetable like fizz, yi, elise. If she used her q's then maybe she can dash away, but the dash isn't that long and it doesn't go through walls. She builds damage and deals damage, as what you would expect. She doesn't build tank and still do damage, so if she's behind it's very hard to come back. If she uses her mobility abilities to catch you, she has nothing to fight with. And she pretty much has to run straight towards you to get to you, as in no dashing in like irelia, wu, xin. So if you can cc her or slow her before she can reach you, then she will do incredibly less damage. It's not like her ult does true damage and resets on an execution >.>
MKDaemon1 votesyou sound like a riven main , riven is broken she can qqq then e to get out of a gank then good luck catching her and you are saying she can't get out , with that low cooldown on her q , all she has to do is aa once or twice then it's up again , yeah if she sues her mobility to chase you aa with her broken passive then good luck trying to duel her aa , then aa then her cool downs are up again oh did i mention she DEOS NOT USE MANA , her ult is in case u ran away from her after all of that so pro so skilled qqq e qqq e , and you managed to run a bit she presses R again , if she did not reck you already to finish off the job , then gg skill , did i mention she has no real counters too ?
