Ranking up?

Hello. Wanted to ask how the ranking up works in ranked to get to another tier/division, I'm in Bronze I and Im trying to get to Silver V, so I know that you have to get 100 points/LP before you can do anything, right? Then you're put into another Promotion series where you have to do 5 ranked games? I was wondering how many games I have to win and if that's right. Thanks.
