I know this is a long time ago but i think Riot should bring back the original W on Aurelion Sol. I used to play the old Aurelion sol and i just always miss it. The way you just sat there throwing stars slowly was satisfying but now its more clunky and weird. What Riot did with the other parts of Aurelion kit were great. Just not the W. Believe me when that W stops YOUR MAIN WEAPON OF OFFENSE goes on cool down making you useless or more vulnerable to engage absolutely no fear from the enemy team (unless you know you have ult, flash, etc). still a sitting duck.

I was planning to main Sol before they did this change. I haven't touched him since the change. I don't care if he's easier to play or has a higher winrate. I want my fun champion back

Who asked for that shit anyway? They made another DPS/consistent damage champion into another Burst which is not far from assasin.....

It should at least be made into a toggle when it hits max level, I feel like that would be the best solution, since the change targeted his early game. Riot wanted to make sure Sol wouldn't be able to shove wave in 5 seconds as early as level 1 and then completely ignore his enemy laner. Well, they achieved that but they should at least give Sol his mid/lategame back.

His W lvl5 cooldown (so once Sol gets lvl9) is 2 seconds. Its less than his old cooldown on toggle, and it is no longer cancelled BY A FUCKING KASSADIN'S Q COME ON ITS NOT LIKE HE IS WEAK AGAINST ASOL WITH HIS PASSIVE AND ULT HE COULD ALSO DISABLE MY ENTIRE CHAMPION FOR 4 SECONDS WITH A RANGET POINT-CLICK ABILITY or any other silence/stun/knockup. Infinite W was nice but all the buffs we got to W are enough to compensate.

The idea with the change is that now it's impossible to do the W wrong.

Any ASol player worth their salt would tell you that with the old W, you weren't supposed to keep it on all the time in the early game. Your mana is limited. You throw it out there to get a good trade and/or clear the wave, then retract it to conserve mana.

Now the "right" way to use his W is just how it works. The cooldown gets ridiculously low, so you can have nearly 100% uptime by rank 5 anyway, with an added movespeed buff to boot.

The W changes were a good change, they just take some getting used to.

I agree. Aurelion Sol has been changed and nerfed so much that I think it'd be reasonable for Riot to give him his old W and passive movement speed on his E. If they did that much, I'm sure all Aurelion Sol mains would be quite happy. The only way to do this is to make sure they hear us!

The new W is somewhat shit as it's probably not as good for teamfights now. But I remember old Aurelion being completele unusable in URF. Anytime I would take even just one fucking auto attack my E would constantly go on a ridiculous 4 second cooldown rendering it useless.
