Is there a way i can demote myself back to s2?

Got to gold 5 on saturday which was relatively simple with some determination and ever since then my league experience has been horrendous.

Out of the last 8 games i have won 1 and the players i have been matched with are GENUINELY worse then bronzies, and i started my lol life in bronze 4.

It's undoubtedly one of the trolliest experiences i have ever experienced in a video game.

So back to my point, is there a way i can get demoted back to s2? i genuinely want to be back there.

Eh, just don't play. If you get demoted from Gold you aren't going to get the Gold rewards in 10 days when the season ends.

Make a smurf and start from scratch, unless you want to ruin other people's games. Alternatively, decay, which is not play ranked for months.
