So.. Time to admit that Rengar rework was a failure?

For all players who played him before the rework (including myself), the rework is like a big middle finger. Rengar went from rarely seen in proplay to must pick/ban (until now cuz he's nerfed a million times lol), and high-risk glass cannon assassin to a tank who has AoE damage and a QSS in his kit on top of getting free AD from his Bonetooth. Oh, and don't forget that you added a free crit to his ult in trade of removing the combo he had to execute pre-rework in order to do burst. (Was R-Youmuus-Q-E-Tiamat-W-Q)

Why didn't you just make the old Rengar ult like a roar much like Sion's? This would make enemies both shit in their pants but also understand to run away and group.. He feels so damn dull and clunky now.. Please Riot. I beg you. :( item 3070 Rengar

Yea, I always thought a roar on activation of ult would make a lot of sense, tells enemies to position correctly and be careful (and shit their pants - yusssss), whilst not just simply out right giving them all then information in the world like it does now...

The new Q is gross as well, give us back the old brutal gorey feeling Q he had before.

I personally prefer new Rengar.

Also gives him a huge difference in playstyle from Kha'Zix, imo, and that feels great.

Building Tanky on Rengar is only logical considering he's the only Assassin without an escape mechanism. In the past this was overlooked because Rengar had incredibly broken AD ratios and chain combos, you could literally jump amidst 5 and continue to kill without much risk... his balancing depended on lowering his best case scenario and this inevitably brought forward his main weakness, no escape, which in turn can be solved by building defenses.

His pick or ban situation stems from the fact that his ratios and base stats are still out of line but in no way it means it's a failure, if anything they brought Rengar to his truer self, an assassin/diver hybrid
