Suggestion for the ranking

Hello everyone,

I have been playing the game for several years now, and I have an idea for the classified games and I wanted to discover it. :)

My suggestion is due to a problem: In the Low Ranks (Last Division: D4, P4, G4, S4, B4), it is always difficult to climb one's ranks once we have climbed up here. Despite having the level a little above.

My idea would be that: Why not put the divisions back up to 5, but when you go up, you're in the 4th division.

Example: A player who is Platinum 1 and who wins his promotion will be Diamond 4 (as now), but players who are Diamonds 4 for a while with a negative winrate (because harder to downgrade) will be in Diamond 5, if he is downgraded normally (as from D3 to D4).

This could be a positive system for the ranked games.

And why not, Division 5 would not be the same as the others, a special division for the problem? it is to think

Of course say your opinions and your improvements on that. And tests would only be positive.

I like that your actively looking for ways to improve player experience. Keep it up.[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

My objection to your suggusion is this, Divisions don't really impact your rate of climb. Its mostly hidden MMR. Your sugguestion eather has the 5th divisions overlapping in MMR with lower Tiers. Which makes it not reall acomplish much . All it would impact is some instances of who can and can not Que up as duos. The other option is you get a Big MMR Spike on your account to shove you to the next Tier after promos. That's not really ideal as it makes for more uncertainty to the system as well as a bit of chaos. If its not MMR related, and if its not just about the Title Display, then your LP gains suffer every time you win promotionals by effectively skipping the next MMR Range to Tier. That in practice should make players who don't have a dramatic win % on their account see very clear reductions in ther LP gains and also gives them a strong LP loss, so basically you skil to t4 but your MMR average is going to pull LP away and it will increase the odds of players demoting a division back to 5.

Those are the 3 issues I can see with it. I think your personally discussing the first one where you just overlapped the MMR tier.

Also the divisions are never expected as accurate on an account until they have a good sample size of games. Riots Positional experiment this year... throws a wrench in my knowledge and also makes it a bit harder to judge MM quality. Still, I believe what just I told you is correct.
