Alpha Client Issues

Hello, Today I got the notification to update to the Alpha Client, honestly I was excited and eager to do so. After downloading it, I went into champ select and encountered an issue that pretty much prevents me from playing using the Alpha Client. On a sidenote I don't know if this is in the correct subsection. Anyways the Alpha Client is really and I mean really laggy to the point I cant declare a champ I want to pick, Ive tried reducing the resolution and disabling animations but it was of no help. My screen would freeze up and if I had to lockin a champ or ban I would not be able to do so in the required time. I don't have a highend PC but I play league on 60 FPS with normal-high graphics. It seems to me the client itself is more demanding and stressing my laptop more then the actual gameplay itself. I love the look of the Alpha Client but is there a way to somehow downscale it so to say. So I don't freeze up everytime I enter champ select? When I say freeze I mean its just super slow. It takes around 20 seconds for my writing to appear when declaring a champ and when I click the champ only after about 10 seconds do I get to lock in my ban but its too late by then..its just really bad FPS lag.. Anyways any suggestions?
