BS server change LAG SPIKES

Proverbs 356··4 votes·939 views

Ever since the server change I have been dealing with these BS lag spikes, high ping is one thing, but constant spikes is another ( you can't play around that shit). I'm sick of riot officials trying to tell me it's something to do with my connection, yet it never fucking happened before the server change. The only thing that helps is to reconnect after a game starts, but oh wait, RITO pegs me with a fucking AFK tag and I have to wait 10 mins in between queues. So tired of this, but what can I say, I am one paying customer out of millions, so why the hell would RIOT give a damn about me. That's my rant. East coast> west coast now. Farewell LOL, it was fun while it lasted

complaining this rude will not help at all its a server change theres nothing they can do about it, its most likey cheaper for them and hits a wider area. I dont know about you but im all the way in CT and when there server was allllll the way on the west coast i never had spikes and i have comcast, the best thing u can do is try doing a custom and time the lags, if its just ur ping randomly jumping from say 80 to 4000 thats something on your side if its 80 to 90 thats riot. Also since u said it keeps happening u most likey have one a bad cord plugged in, two your on wifi and wifi jumps recommend plugging in, three if nether work try looking at your firewall or calling your provider you shouldnt be jumping in ping like that every single time i reall do doubt its riot. some people dont try everything before blaming others

I have a hard time believing it's not Riot, when the timing of the lag spikes directly coincides with the time of the server change.

I kinda agree. I'll be having perfectly good games with around 100ms and then randomly spike to about 1000 ms. It's done this to me in two different houses.

i would just try some of the options i listed below if none work then i could stay trying a friends house see if it does it there maybe? if it does then its safe to assume riot if not then its something with your ISP. It could be so many things other then a server change since so little people have been having problems with it and the fact most have lower ping and see a difference with the game and lag. i would just try everything listed then maybe do a repair on the client or check your computers wifi card or cable to be 100% sure

you know i wouldn't have said it was riot, as i am experiencing it as well if it wasn't for the simple fact that when i compare league of legends new server out of chicago (500- 3,000 ping spikes for no effing reason.) to a cod 4 server i play on very frequently also out of chicago ( 100 ping even) tells me that the issue is not on my end, if it was the my ping would be doing the same in both games and not just in one. so would you please explain to me how this is not a issue with riot's servers?
