Zilean Feedback
Considering how shallow the new pool of threads are on these forums, I decided to create this thread about current mage/support extraordinaire, Zilean. Since Riot stated a few times how Zilean's going to see a rework to the degree of Sion (kit and visual), I'm curious how everyone perceives Zilean.
**1. What aspects of Zilean do you feel are a core of his playstyle? **
As one of the original cast, Zilean's had a lot of exposure as a favored pick status across multiple seasons. However, as the game's and the player's experiences evolved, Zilean's remained fairly static, receiving no large gameplay changes since beta. With that in mind, considering all the time you've played him, what still strikes you when playing him today? What brings a small to your face when you pick him over other champions? Does playing as a support compare to his previous peg in midlane?
**2. What aspects of Zilean frustrate gameplay, both for the person playing and the person playing against him? **
With only one damaging ability, Zilean brings a good deal of utility by comparison to other characters. Out of the old global passive vanguard (Twisted Fate, Janna, and Zilean), the Chronokeeper is the only to remain. In addition, Rewind continues to be a double-doored gate, limiting early game aggression but swinging out of control as Zilean nears 40% CDR, ensuring a near constant uptime for his ultimate. Compounding this is his Time Warp, capable of perma-slowing a single target late into the game. How do you feel about these odd dips in power considering his kit as a whole? What is unacceptable or undesirable about it, if anything?
3. Which bits of lore and flavor do you feel exemplify Zilean as a Chronokeeper?
Zilean's old (literally). However, his age brings a certain culture, just as his time in the League has left impressions on his gameplay. What portions of his lore compel you? What about his bulbous hair or back clock? Do his pajamas make the man who he is? Do tell.~
4. Which parts of his aesthetic don't lend itself to his theme?
Chrono-displasea not your thing? The "father time" figure only going so far until becoming a guy in a dress with a giant clock on his back and turnip hair? Why does a time-guy use comical yellow rope-wick bombs? Let everyone know here.
Consider this a dumping point of feedback since the GD shutdown.
