MMORPG?
Can you imagine if Riot was able to make a quality MMORPG styled through League of Legends. I got really excited thinking about the possibilities this morning.

PhearBunny1 votesThey certainly COULD with the world and lore theyve created. However the MMORPG genre isnt in style right now. I think if they were to release a MMORPG it would have to be a few years after WoW completely falls apart, and the genre becomes forgotten.
NF Remilia1 votesPhearBunny said most of the stuff , we have the lore and content for MMORPG , the problem is Riot has to invest a lot of money into making it , We can see MMORPG game from riot in 2 situations. 1 if the MMORPG booms and they can make a profit from it. 2 if they put a price on the game like WoW , somewhere around 50$ to buy the game. Then they can invest money into it without much fear of making profit.
Zanador1 votesMore than that, the problem is that playing an MMORPG takes quite some time and that could be taken from playing LoL. Card and fighting games only take a few minutes per round and Riot decidedly aimed at one of the hardest to approach versions of FPS games so it's playerbase wouldn't overlap too much with League (my guess). Similarly the Riot Forge games wouldn't compete with the main title too much either. But an MMORPG is a different beast. Just look at Blizzard: they basically sacrificed all of their other games for the sake of WoW. The same decision would be bad for Riot.
