ARAM Skin Boost Update

Hello Summoners,

Wanted to give you an update on the ARAM Skin Boost issue. We recently turned this feature on with the 5.8 deploys, and shortly after started receiving a handful of tickets for players who were on the team of someone who purchased the Skin boost not receiving a random skin (IP was received though).

After doing some digging, our engineers found a bug in the code where some messages around status of Skin Boosts weren't able to communicate with each other inside our platform hardware. We are in the process of fixing the bug, but due to the nature of the fix will be holding off on deploying it until the next release (5.9). Sorry for the inconvenience!

We should get a free skin boost per X # of accumulated rerolls or something...

Having to pay IRL cash for these & that being the only option is ludicrous.

I know it's optional but still, you guys price-gouge enough.

Please tell me that you're going to disable ARAM Skin Boosts while this bug is present.

When you use the skin boost do you keep the skin or is it only for that game?

I noticed that they were turned off and was wondering why. It made sense to me because a couple people had purchased them for our team and it didn't work or we didn't get IP. Thanks for the post, this clarifies things.

If you use the skin boost and someone dodges do you get the rp back?

My skin boost is grayed out but i have enough rp is it disabled as of patch 6.14? cause I really wanted to do a few boosts.

Is it just me or is anyone else not seeing the random skin boost? Is there supposed to be a button you can click, or am I missing something?

I have played a few ARAM games already and in one I didnt get to choose the skin so I didnt get a skin and I paid for one and never kept the skin. Is this supposed to be a one game deal? Get a IP boost and a skin for the one game? I guess I just misinterpreted what it says in the FAQ. To me it is written as if you get to keep the skin. If I wanted an IP boost, I would just buy one. Dont tease me with a skin and then take it back.
