How do i Play more agressive without feeding (risking it all) ?

So i will keep it short

for more than 6 years i have been maining Riven she WAS my OTP

on like 6 of my acc i got a total of 3,6M if i count every account i ever had

so now...

I am not a fan of her as she is RN i was someone that rly abused her E and Q cooldown in the early and since they got nerfed my muscle memory just got rly f worded up i lost my confidence with her and even my friends noticed since they knew me as someone that would play EXTREMLY agressive in early and get that 10 kills min 10

so now to my problem and my "change"

i want to main mid lane after 6 years otping her top i got tired after all those changes (i also wanted to main mid for a rly long time but couldn't cuz well... riven mains know what i mean if u get into riven once u cant rly help but play her)

I am playing like a extreme (bad P word but not rly cuz women have those) and i dont know how to change this playstyle if i try to play more agressive i am getting rekt by the 0/3 kassadin i always lose the trades even if i wait the cooldowns they just AA me and i am half life (assasines are very hard to play against for me)

how can i get more confidence and a better grip of mid lane i never rly played alot of mid lane champs only Ahri,Taliyah (Jngl) and well.. yea riven mid i need a whole new champion pool

What are your tips for me to get started as a mid laner ? how do i find my mid champ how do i get into mid lane ?

i feel kinda sad that i need help on something that people that start league as a newbie already know (which champs i like and which role) i rly cant decide and that as a plat 1 player uff

I think what you need to get started at such high MMR(for someone that claims to be a newb at mid) is champions with safety nets.

Ekko Ahri Zilean Are good examples.

You WILL make assassin mains cry with those. Especially zil and ekko the time boiz

Kassidin is a great choice, but is a bit rough lvl 1-6, but I'm betting you know that.

Consider how long you played Riven and apply that to your current situation. If you're okay with one tricking a mid-laner then just pick a champ that fits your playstyle and stick with it. Before too long you'll gain a good sense of when to go in and when not too.

Ahri has no dash pre6 and only has one good trading spell, I don't recommend being too aggressive early. If you are it's by pushing, in which case you need to play jungle safe.

If you want early aggro you want an assassin really. If you push, ward. You can lean on the side of that ward for better safety. Try to ward out in the river if possible to cover more gank paths.

Her win rate barely breaks 50%, not even with a negligible playerbase (<2%) skewing the win rate upwards. She does get to 51% in Diamond though, and that's more to do with her having only 1% pick rate in Diamond. And ironically, her win rate is at her lowest in Bronze, currently sitting at 46%; mind you, that's after having a straightforward kit and a tiny player pool.

She's easy to understand, sure, but that's not the same as getting through the game with them in practice as that would depend on a lot more factors than just how easy you can wrap your mind around a champ's kit.

You're not going to learn much on a champ that is so outdated her entire relevance is defined entirely by pressing R while passive is up to instantly kill the opponent and literally does nothing else.

But then again, my comment was about refuting "Play annie that shit is easy". As I've pointed out, easy to understand does not necessarily translate to easy to play.

Sylas is literally two steps off Riven in handling.

Other than that, one tricks don't translate well. You just have to look at the game like it's almost new again. Half of the fun, really.

Mid lane is wild though, you have to keep track of all the numerous gank routes while simultaneously reading the map and knowing how to rotate, when to rotate, and where in any direction, while also fighting your laner.

I second this. Everything from the passive, multiple aggressive dashes and focus on burst damage and CDR screams Riven. I can’t think of a champion that would be easier to pick up for a Riven OTP than Sylas.

  • Don't trade in minion waves
  • Don't fight unless you know where the enemy mid laner and jungler are,
  • Look at items/stats. If enemy has a better item/component than you, don't fight them.

Vayne item 1053 vs Draven item 1038 for example.

If Vayne forces a fight, she will 100% lose it due to stats difference.
