A discussion of bots

With the new addition of champion bots for playing against AI modes, we still have the same old problem. Bots just aren't good. Yes I know we have players for enemies, but I believe that bots need a rework, and have needed one for several years. The thing with bots is that the higher in difficulty you go up, their dodging and landing abilities seems to be the only thing that increases. Overall intelligence seems to remain the same, like how you can lure bots or split push without them coming. Bots need a rework, we should get bots that at the highest difficulty that ACTUALLY challenge us. And when I say challenge I mean beyond the ability of a regular league player. Im talking about bots that know the game, such as contesting dragon or attempting steals, junglers with ganking, ward clearing, ward placement, contesting and attempting baron/rift herald, building to the enemy (not just a predetermined build no matter what), ambushing or invading early, maybe a bot that would actually strategically place shrooms, and finally pushing certain lanes and splitpushing while main team is off somewhere. After all of this the highest difficult should be one that challenges even seasoned league players. I know this all seems difficult, but if Riot cares they can do it. But that's my fear, riot seems not to care when it comes to bots.

Now we get to the point of why even playing high difficulty bots when if you want a challenge you can just play players. Yes that is an answer, but some people prefer bots, not because of a guaranteed win (with current bot intelligence) but because its not against real players, which to some people, makes them feel more comfortable with playing. (yes I know this sounds like someone who "shouldn't even play league in the first place if they don't wanna play against people sometimes") Perhaps this could even lead us to an offline league version which allows serious bot play and not just wimpy things that are pushovers. The fact is some people prefer not playing against other people, when given an option that is just as challenging if not more. ( I partly agree with that, but I like playing pvp most time in league anyway) Bots shouldn't only be for people new to league. I hope we are able to see that bots need serious addressing. Bots ARE a gamemode in league, therefore they should be treated like one. (pls not like dominion lol)

If we assume bots were to get a massive overhaul, become challenging and all issues above were fixed or at least imposed on bots, league players now have a serious other option rather than regular SR or TT. Doombots would just be... death lol. A super intelligent team could even be placed in LCS and see how it fairs lol. We could even see implementation of bots in regular SR, such as bots taking over afk players. (this is assuming they become smart enough to work as a part of a team) With this bots could learn to identify pings or ping themselves where they are going or what they are doing to inform their human teammates. tl;dr bots are stupid, riot needs to make them smart to pose an actual challenge.
