You'll never keep new players

I've played about 12 games and each game has had people banned for being toxic who made new accounts and were toxic. There is literally no reason for me to play this game if this is what I have to look forward to. Telling me that it gets better at 30 may have worked back when there was just dota and lol, but now there are endless options. Do you, Riot, actually think the best way to deal with trolls is to force them on your newbies? What reason would a new player pick your game over any of the others countless moba's out there at this point? This is my first and only post on here and today was my last day of league. Yes, I'm just one lost customer; however, your loss of a customer is an effect of a systemic problem with the way you handle your toxic players. Good luck with that in the future.

The game is mostly garbage with some good aspects. Its a long way from being mostly good with some garbage aspects. Its the dev team, who really hasn't gotten any of their less than bright ideas to take off in the last year.

Most of the garbage aspects I’ve experienced is people’s attitudes. Giving up, telling people “kys”, being aggressive for no reason, letting their ego get the best of them, etc. Gameplay wise:yeah there are aspects that are challenging at times but I actually like a challenge. Just wished people’s sportsmanship/attitudes didn’t suck.

Pretty much the only thing I can think of is to make creating a new account to have a cost associated. And whoaaaaaaaaah the backlash on that!

Game takes too long to level up. My friends have barely managed to hit level 15 before they quit the game, and without access to the champions they may like (6300 champs) it's impossible to convince them to buy a couple level boosts. Worst of all the IRL friends who got me into this game have all quit. It's just me and my SO who still play League in my circle. And tbh I'm just waiting for AOC to come out and become my next no life game.

Thing is, league is pretty complex with 145 (?) different champs, items, runes and all the ingame macro, that it takes a long time to get into it enough to play it on a competetive level in ranked. At least for actual new players.

My complaint isn't about ranked it's about accessibility to champions for newer players and leveling curve to earn those champions. With a roster of 145+ champions of course a new player is going to want to try them all out to see what play style fits them. League limits that with the gains from BE being abysmal and leveling up (The only way to gain BE).

I honestly believe all champions should be available in bot games at the very least, so as players learn the nuances of the game they can also test out what champions they like. I remember purchasing Rengar as my first big 6300 purchase and what a let down he turned out to be for me back then. I was pissed I wasted so much BE (IP at the time) on something I knew I'd never play.

That is what the free to play system is there for, also you actually earn more as a new player with the current system compared to the old.

Its still dumb tho. I did not get to play ranked until lvl 38 because of the champ requirement and my friend is in his 20's with like 11 ish champs he actually owns. I spent $50 to buy champs and I got 13... I did buy the lunar thing and got probably like 5 or so more but it is still a lot of grinding,

Maybe don't go for only high IP costing champions?

why would I when I maybe don't want to play low costing champs? If I look in the store there is about the same amount of 6300 champs that I want to purchase as there are champs total for everything lower than 6300.

And that is fine, just realize you won't be able to leap right into ranked when you do that, nor should you be anyway.

You gotta realise that there is a price difference in those champs for a reason. Garen or Ashe don't take as much time to get into as say Sol or Thresh. If you want to get into ranked, you should play something you're familiar with and not 20 different 6300 IP champs, barely anybody does that even in high elo. Get a few champs you want to play properly, don't look at the price for those, and fill up the mission ones with low cost champs. Imo all champs and skins should be available in practice tool though, exactly for the reasons of testing.

so many lv.30 players and higher play like they are new to this game, all my friends that had good mechanics for low levels have quit because of riots terrible decision implementing quests to reduce time to reach lv.30, these noobs that aren't ready are forced to fight lv.30s and many are foolish enough to go straight into ranked and get stuck in iron/bronze w/e elo
