Matchmaking is Awful

I just played a normal draft mode game in which we got stomped pretty hard. My team was me (a level 30 gold 3), 2 unranked level 30s, a level 27, and a level 22. Getting paired with the sub-level 30 players is pretty lame, but okay no problem. However, here was the other team: 1 unranked level 30, 1 silver, 1 gold and 2 diamonds. There's no reason these two groups of teams should be able to queue against one another.

I'm not mad that we lost. I'm not mad that we got demolished. It happens. It's not a big deal. However the blatantly awful matchmaking that clearly led to the horrible loss is not okay for this big of a game and company. I would have rather waited 5 more minutes for a more balanced game with players of a similar skillset and LEVEL.

The problem is that you have a different mmr for each queue. It is possible to play normals early on in your league career and have silver mmr then do nothing but ranked for a couple of years getting to diamond mmr. Because of the separation it would make it so the diamond player will get matched with silvers if they decide to play a normal.

That definitely makes sense, but that thinking and structure needs a tune-up in my opinion.

What is horrible is that your personal MMR gets knocked down from matches like these.

Its soo stupid.
