A Possible Change to Yuumi

I don't think just buffing Yuumi's kit will bring her to the point where she is as strong as the other enchanter supports (and I don't think she needs buffs her numbers are fine) because unlike them she has two big weaknesses in the design of her kit; 1) She draws the attention to ur ADC early game making it very easy for them to die, 2) has an extremely weak early game (then starts to get stronger with mid-game.)

I have been thinking of ways to make slight tweaks to her kit that might really bring her into the game and I have an odd one I like.

What if her passive auto was map wide. In otherwords, if she could see them she could auto them when her passive was up. And it would be some special animation maybe where it is shot into the sky or something. She is kinda a game-breaking quirky character and this goes right along with that.

This helps both of her weaknesses.

  1. She can have a full shield on the ADC. Now, due to her insanely short aa range, most times a good section of the shield is gone when u get back to your ADC. I don't want them to just super buff her range in case some cheese AD builds come out. This would allow a good Yuumi to get 2 full procs of her passive shield onto the ADC. This won't make it so the ADC is guaranteed to get out but at least it would make up for the fact she can't pull attention from the ADC

  2. This would allow her to accelerate out of the early game. Sure her early game is going to be by far the worst of all the enchanters simply by her design, but you could help her get out of the early game faster. With a map-wide auto, she could get assists. Getting assists helps in 2 ways first gold for the first full item to be completed. 2nd she likes dark seal this would give her some stacks.

----This also would help new players to learn to use the minimap much like Soraka's ult

----If an on-hit build is what ur afraid of just make it so it doesn't apply other on-hit effect or greatly increase its CD and allow it to be affected by CDR

Finally,_ I would remove the CD on her W_. first its bugged. I can do the same thing twice and it only goes on CD 1 of the times. I have also had it go on CD in the late game (though not recently). Instead of trying to fix the bug just remove the CD she has a weak enough early game as it is. It is also the core concept of the character not allowing her to do it on command doesn't make sense (I assume you were afraid she would be op). It would be like making zed have a CD on shadow swaps.

What do you think or does anyone have a different idea? I really don't think the answer to yuumi is just buff her numbers, but change how she works in some way. Was also thinking maybe her q could proc her passive or something.

You must be joking.

Yuumi gets assists on every kill. She adds damage from ACROSS THE MAP from LEVEL ONE. Imagine you’re just farming top lane under tower and you’re low- oh look! I just gave yuumi a kill from bot lane, and I can’t dodge the auto. Not to mention that her weakness is when she’s close to champs unattached. THIS REMOVES HER ONLY WEAKNESS.

The suggestion goes completely against what her passive was designed for.

It is there for the very same reason why Lux, Ziggs, and Xerath also have passives using their auto attacks: To force her in threat range. Without her passive, there would be nothing in Yuumi's kit encouraging her to stop being attached from her ADC, she is insanely safe herself, while also promoting bad gameplay.

The passive is supposed to force Yuumi out of her ADC and into the threat range of her enemy, by forcing her to get close enough to auto attack them. Your suggestion would mean that Yuumi could just stop attaching outside of the range of the enemy, auto any random guy across the map, then attach again. No risk for her to take whatsoever.

Also, like Thaum1568 mentioned, being able to get assists for every single kill happening on the map with basically no CD and from lvl 1 is pretty much broken.

In my opinion, Yuumi is actually extremely strong. But she is a champion with a really high skill cap. People are still not playing her at her max potential, but in the hands of someone who masters her, she is an absolute monster.
