Bronze/Silver is just about who has the troll

Yes I know there are countless numbers of threads about this topic and it is pretty much a whine thread... but lately I experienced this a lot. I'm Silver IV currently and a lot of the rankeds I play are just decided by who has the troll or AFK. If hes in my team or the enemy team is pretty balanced but thats not the point.. if a game is decided by something like this it compleatly steals the purpose.

Yes I know a 4v5 is wineable and I managed to do this sometimes and yes, I remember that I lost sometimes against 4 to... but is this expected from you if you want to climb the ladder? Do you have to carry a 4 man team to victory on a basic level to rank up? Ok, if everyone has to do this and its considered as normal I won't complain, but right now it just feels frustrating.

About to start a game with Teemo Jungler when we already had Vi jungler right here... (Albeit no ranked, just low mmr normals)

5 years in the fray. ONCE I did my placement matches, near the end of Season 4. 6 wins 4 losses, including over 6 leavers in these 4 games. Placed in silver. Never playing ranked again.

I think about Ranked this way and it has helped me tremendously:

40% of your games are going to be lost due to DC/AFK/Feeder/Troll/etc on your team.

40% of your games are going to be won due to a DC/AFK/Feeder/Troll/etc on the enemy team.

Only about 20% of the games you play in Ranked will you be able to have any meaningful impact in. It is those games that you have to identify and make sure your contribution is positive and leads your team to a win.

I have so been there man. I think players toss around the word troll a bit loosely, but afks are afks. The truth is 4v5s in Bronze/Silver are totally winnable, so yeah, I think you have to accept that to climb the ladder. When it seems like most of your games are out of your control, it's only natural to get frustrated.

You will either break from the insanity or eventually see progress or perhaps (like me) both will happen

and it might take a couple hundred games of frustration before you see a change. If your champions (or something) aren't working for you, don't be afraid to change them, but only you can figure out what champions (and style) are best for you.

And I think it's totally fine to find ways to let out your inner QQ instead of verbally harassing your teammates (who are probably in the same situation you are).
