Why hasn't Riot implemented this yet?

You know how in FPS games, you press a hotkey like x or v, it opens up a list of sentences on the side like this

  1. taking fire
  2. I need backup
  3. enemy spotted
  4. Cover me!
  5. Follow me

Well I think the same can be true for LoL, and if you can even edit these sentences yourself, it would be even better. Recently I find myself typing the same sentences over and over, such as "group for baron" or "don't fight we're outnumbered" or "ward drag/baron pls" etc I think it'd be really convenient and even helpful. Have you ever died while you're typing something? Well now you can just press like x-2 or v-5 and communicate with your teammates more efficiently. LoL is all about communication. TBH this is another topic but I think voice chat will be really helpful as well. what's wrong with just muting someone if they're being toxic or annoying? I see more merits in this than downsides.

Anyways this idea just popped up and I thought I'd share :) upvote if you want Riot to actually sees this!

there are these things called pings they have almost the same effect

You can't communicate things like, "I have TP, you can fight at botlane" or "can you guys help me ward pls" etc. just using pings Pings are great sure, but there are things you can't communicate just with pings. It's the same idea as pings but with more options, and you can actually edit what you wanna put in your list of sentences. I imagine it can't be too difficult to add this feature in the game, so why don't they just do it? Personally, for me who really values communicating and teamwork, it'll be a huge difference.

you've never used pings as a top laner to tell your bot lane you have tp? it's simple move your screen to bot lane start spamming the on my way ping then start the channel they will get the message

how are you gonna use ping to say , "can you ward bush at bot lane so I can TP?" Imagine in top lane, you could miss few cs while typing this, or even worse, get ganked. These are just a few example on top of my head but imagine the possibilities. Imagine how much time you could save with this in a 1 hr game. Smart pings are there to save time right?

they'll get the message if they don't then i'm walking down there place the ward myself then walking back up to top lane and then tp

or you could tp to the bot turret then pink ward yourself then recall, wait for the tp to come back up, and tp to that ward if it's still there :)

i used to do that but i realised it was a waste of time to walk there and then back just to wait for tp it's faster to walk there walk back then tp

What if you pretend to be their support, and send the support top, pretending to be top. THen Bam! you blow your cover and jump on their botlane. I think this will save you most time :)

In fact, your support pretending to be top could take TP and tp botlane to help you when you blow your cover

exactly! glad you understand the plan then the adc will flash out of their bush and tp up top while the mid laner tp's to a hidden ward in the enemy jungle and the jungler runs in from behind their turret
