Question about shaco jungle.

So I have been looking at some of the paths that people use to rush to lvl 2 and 3. I have always seen boxes being placed at wraiths or just a big nest to wipe out a buff quickly. I was looking at the wiki when i noticed that a box at lvl 1 can do a max of 315 damage and 2 boxes would easily take out the small golem and i can still get 3 boxes to clear out red then decive over the wall to finish off the larger golem and gank or just gank mid at about 2:30.

I have had been getting good results with it so far but I would like some other feedback and like to know if there is a reason why I should not be doing this.

I've never played shaco much but this sounds viable. A lot of early game shaco is deciding what you want to do based on who is laning and who is jungle. You're not gonna really be able to fight a lee sin in jungle but a fiddle might be easy fresh meat for a shaco to invade, I feel that if jumping over the wall to finish golems would put you behind just a little in your invade route when every second counts (I also dont think it gives you level 3 either, so you're just using extra mana).

It sounds viable though!

Clearing out your red side will put you at 2 exp under lvl 3 @ 3:00 in game, so i do stand in the bush for 1 minion. Also have tried where I would take their Red and small golem with just boxes and can take own blue buff by 2:55( as soon as smite come up to get the buff). then top or mid for a lvl 3 gank. As for the aggressive lvl 2 gank it works well to counter the red and small golem, then rush straight to mid lane for a gank about 2:25-2:35 depending on if i mess up box placement.

Hmm as far as a level rush I don't know. But what I like to do is something I think I saw bjergson doing once.

This is assuming you're on botside. Which is my preferred Shaco play side.

I also take summoner 11 summoner 14

  1. Box red 3-4 times. Ask bot for assistance Clearing small minions ahead of time so they know whatsup. Alternatively, in soloQ ask your carry if she wants red. Then spam laugh when your boxes take it. Just kidding. Kind of.

  2. You should be passing wolves by the time you achieve red buff if all goes well, if not thank bot for participation and give them a boost of confidence telling them red will surely win bot lane. Do not be disappointed if this doesn't work every time. Sometimes people are silly and tank the big golem away from boxes and such. Just explain to them ahead of time to attack red and hope they're clever.

  3. Start and finish blue asap regardless of whether or not red went well. Immediately deceive over blue wall and hit B. to reset your stealth timer on Q. Yes it's dangerous to go into their red jungle without E. You're going to be there so fast it's stupid anyways.

  4. If you opponent has stopped for wolves, you're good to go, you can take red immediately from him/her.

  5. If you're not sure, drop a box to the bush next to wraiths and continue as planned.

  6. If you have red, and they show up. Womp them with summoner 14 if they go to ward or start red. But box to the left in case top responds, or box up and to the right so they can't leave as they're approaching you. This can't be done if you boxed wraith bush and isn't recommended if your opponent is in the rare case ranged.

  7. Do not wait ever. At their red. In the perfect scenario that red is gone and all they have left is a whisp of smoke and two lonely baby minions.

Recap

Box red a buncha times. Run to blue and do it. Hop on over to the other red asap. Take it asap, but with caution. Priority is on buffs not kills. If kills happen congratulate yourself then run like the dickens.

I find the best xp for myself personally is permanently owning all 3 buffs for as long as you can maintain. And top/mid is always easier to gank coming from tops jungle to avoid wards. So if you manage to save ignite and such, go wild.
