Executioner's Calling

Executioner's Calling is currently +25 AD, +20% crit, and inflicts grievous wounds, for 1900 total gold, being built out of an Avarice Blade and a Long Sword. I'd like to request that this Long Sword be replaced with a Pickaxe, and the item moving to 2440 total gold, with +40 AD, +20% crit, and inflicts grievous wounds. (or even +25% crit and 2690 total gold).

My reasoning: currently Executioner's Calling is not viable as a late game item for champions that want the stats that it gives. According to http://www.lolking.net/items/3123&region=all&map=sr&queue=1x1&league=ranked#statistics it has a grand 0.04% pick rate. Moving the item to a later-game item makes it more viable late-game, which is also when you're likely to be wanting to inflict grievous wounds anyway.

I admittedly have an ulterior motive. Currently every ADC wants a decent splashing in the four main offensive ADC stats- +AD, +crit, +attack speed, and armor penetration. Infinity Edge provides a good abount of +AD, +crit, and even makes your crits scale harder, so clearly it's going to be a required item for any optimal scaling ADC build, but it really does require an additional +crit source to make the +crit damage worthwhile. Luckily there's a bunch of +ASP items that also give +crit - Phantom Dancer and Statikk Shiv. But once you have one of those, additional +ASP doesn't really seem very useful (especially if you also went Blade of the Ruined King). So a perfectly interesting item, Runaan's Hurricane, is rarely picked up except for characters that deal splash damage (looking at you, Kayle and Jinx).

I would really like to see Runaan's be a viable item in builds that didn't require splash, since it involves interesting gameplay choices on both sides- positioning becomes even more important, on both sides (do you get close enough to Runaan's? Will it kill you?). But currently PD and SS are really required because they're the only useful source of +crit other than IE (Ghostblade being the only other reasonable choice at the moment). If Executioner's Calling became a reasonably viable late game item, it would open up the option to go Executioner's+Runaan's instead of SS/PD for the crit/ASP requirements. It still takes two items instead of one, so you're still going to have to make meaningful build choices, but it'd no longer be (completely) a joke build.

Clearly you're not a top laner, because whenever there's a Mundo or Zac on the map, I need that Executioner's.

executioner's calling is an AMAZING item and You shouldn't be getting it every game for high stat values for a must buy. Problem is people think low stats shit item. Do people even see the passive on it; 50% heal reduction and by end game that can take away over 1000 hp of healing in a fight or more versus 1 target. That is insanely good for its low stats and low cost.

So to buy it every single game removes the counter play or the thought of counter play.

It is not valuable if there are no high sustain champions, Then you shouldn't be buying it.

I agree with the other posters. While not the most useful item in most cases, it definitely has a niche role against healers, especially since I prefer to take TP instead of ignite. Ignite is usually seen only on the mid laner nowadays, so having executioner's calling is useful since the mid laner will usually use that ignite to finish someone off rather than for the grievous wounds.
