Riot why must u change things if they are not broken? Runes where not broken nor were masteries. So why think it was a good idea to fix. People work so hard to get runes and u give the worst rewards for us buying 10 pages? I mean thats alot of IP or now BE but we bought alot of runes sooo most of us have all the champs, why would i spend so much on emote? The runes are broken, u dont get alot of IP for playing a game, and levels going up, whats the point of it? I have played for 5 years now and first time i really dont want to play league. Prob done playing for now til u guys fix, but u wont so, goodbye league?item 3070

You're not alone, Ben. I've been with the game since two weeks after closed beta and I am now looking for a new game. They got rid of one of the most nuanced and important aspects of the game and replaced it with a dumbed down lame imitation from other games. I have met one person who likes the changes. Most of the people I have asked are just like us. They feel ripped off and do not like it at all. Good thing there are so many other choices. Makes me sad though. I always rooted for Riot.

Old runes were a pox on this world, this update should have happened years ago.

I actually like the changes. Makes things far simpler. What I did not like was the rewards for buying rune pages, the low amount of BE for runes purchased, and lack of consideration for veteran players. The only veterans who were rewarded are the ones who hoarded IP. Some of us purchased champions and name changes. Some of us only played a few hours a day, but we are still veteran players. The fact I've played this game consistently for 4 years and didn't have enough BE to purchase Urfwick was tilting. Even though I played for 4 years but only got the Champion emote (don't even care about emotes, just principle) was another slap. Out of the 40+ people I played this game with back when I started only two are still playing. I'm not saying this game isn't incredibly popular, but I am saying that many of the older ones have moved on to be replaced by a newer crowd. Why then is Riot so afraid of throwing vets a fair sized bone? Hell if you stuck with this game for more than 2 seasons you should be getting some kind of perk, and it should get better for every season you stayed. Hell, I think the season 2 people should have access to the collectors skins for how long they've supported this game.
