Can we PLEASE have a rework for the personal rank system?

Until a few weeks ago, the personal ranking system meant little more than a conformation of a game well played. A little nod of the head to say "Hey, good job man, that's an A+ effort right there" and hell, I would be happily satisfied with even a B ranking.

The hextech crafting came around and ooooh boy, now nothing but S is good enough. I've had my fair share of shitty matches, gotten Bs and the like and I can accept that, but I have had some, I'll admit, rare games where I have just played out my skin and felt like "Yes, this is the one, gimme dat box" only to find out that no, that wasn't good enough. Sorry what? 9/0/12 trundle jungle? Participated in two thirds of the teams kills? OH! It was also a 4 v 5 advantage for the enemy team and you won it? The enemy team was also a four man premade? (No, I am not exaggerating, I literally had this sort of game) Well that's a damn fine effort there man... I'll give you an A.

I mean common man, what kind of fucking godly Trundles am I being compared to here? A man with fingers that have spider like grace who sweeps the enemy side and takes their Nexus before minions have even spawned? Throw me a freaking bone here guy, i get it ain't supposed to be easy but I shouldn't be winning these games then feeling disappointed as all hell because I wasn't up to the top 1%'s standard.

Minions, turrets, objectives... Those matter 10 times more than kills ever will.

All the other Trundle junglers. As an off-pick with only dedicated mains really setting the standard, you've got your work cut out for you being in the top 5%.

Also: because Riot is hiding how grading works, Riot is pretty free to make the forumula determining ranks as complex as they desire. Wardding, CS, kill participation, smite steals, time benchmarks, dragons/barons/towers secured, wards killed, skillshot accuracy: none of these things are off-limits when Riot doesn't have to worry about sleek and sexy tooltips, so there's a lot more to focus on with good grades than a really basic KDA.

Biggest pattern I've noticed with S ranks is this though: doing very well compared to your lane opponent in KDA and especially CS departments will net you a very good grade, while going even with your lane rival will net you a pretty basic grade. Go 9/0/20 with 150 CS vs. another jungler that goes 9/0/20 with 150 CS and you'll get a mediocre grade. Go 5/4/20 with 150 CS vs. another jungler that goes 1/9/5 with 50 CS and you'll get an S.

Grades are much more about how well you do relative to your peers than they are how good your KDA looks end-game.
