League and Windows 10 -- how is it?

So, I may be updating to Windows 10 soon (currently running on Windows 7, and it's slowly losing its favour with me -- lots of issues with it lately).

Since it's been a few months now, how many of you are now running LoL through Windows 10, and how is it fairing? I heard at the beginning it had some issues, I am just wondering if I should bother upgrading now, or keep waiting it out a bit longer if it's going to brag my games (others being WoW and Minecraft, as well as Fallout and Elder Scrolls games).

Thanks, guys!

my advice is when doing the upgrade is go for the clean install option/ clean upgrade. The clean upgrade is still an upgrade so you still have your old system files if you find you need to roll back but will act like a fresh install (0 loaded 3rd programs).

Though if you decide to keep win 10 make sure you run a disk cleaner (program) to remove the old install later. What ever your current install is will end up eating part of your hard drive (all the old programs will be there) taking a good chunk of your hard drive till purged.

No noticeable differences or issues, even on day 1. Lots of people didn't upgrade their drivers and blamed the OS, but that was their fault.

I just updated from 7 to 10 the other day, and no problems or differences here. Make sure to finish all your updates.

less issues than windows 7, but that's because of other reasons like LoL was more buggy and dced a lot more and other stuff

I had no issues and I even forgot to update my drivers for the longest time. I've had Win10 since I finally got the chance to upgrade about 3 months ago. It's...Odd compared to 7, but once you get the hang of it, you won't want to go back.

I suggest if you upgrade that you do a clean install...I've had problems with a couple machines just upgrading the system. (keeping the old win 7-8 files has led to microsoft account issues, so wiping the entire drive and doing fresh install worked best)

And like angry monster suggested, wiping out the old windows files will clear your hard disk up nicely if you go the upgrade route (it's worked for some folks, so you may be lucky).

but once it's all said and done, Windows 10 is perfectly fine and I'm quite sure you'll love it...the EDGE browser sort of sucks balls still as there's no real ADblocker for it yet, Stick to google chrome or firefox, even opera is a sight better than edge for some applications.

if you use an HDTV for your monitor, you'll need to check the device settings to make sure the volume works fine as I've had minor issues that were easily fixed using the troubleshooter included. ( i reset my HDMI as the primary sound device and it worked perfectly after)

if you install using a burnt DVD, it'll go much faster than the downloaded version by at least an hour or two (I've averaged about 2 hours from disk-in to final reboot)

...and don't forget to install antivirus immediately. well, before you download and install League. You'll love having that as the first program on the drive head...the access/read speed on my HD is 7900rpm's and the transfer rate at the front of my drives gets read at 52mb/s - 92mb/s which is really good.

another tip, don't use an SSD for the system files, keep that for your games and programs specifically as you don't wanna wear out the drive.

other than those suggestions, I wish you luck. (make sure you remember to open task manager once you've tried playing with it and turn off the apps you're not using...it keeps them in memory otherwise)

So a "clean install" would that be just wiping the Computer completely and then going back in and doing the Windows 10 update? I'm not 100% sure what a clean install is. Are you saying I should delete my game files off my laptop before installing Windows 10?

it integrates well with it and windows 10 doesn't have many performance problems, but on the downside, like every operating system after vista, the latency is increased by a small amount and on bad connections that can do a number to your gameplay

it's a minimal thing though
