So the other day i was playing kalista on soloq and my supp dc'd or ragequiited i"m not sure , anyway i tried to re-buy that black spear and put it on my jungler but it didnt work, we could hear the sound of that thing appliying on the jungler but it wont really happen :/ idk if it's a bug or ?
This is why i never play Kalista nor like having her on my team even if im supporting her she strives on dealing bonus damage if her oathsworn partner attacks the same target which is a very pointless for SoloQ players where there is poor communication and poor coordination.
Last time i played her was march of 2016 my support rage quit on me when i told them I'm not even a good adc and i wanted to just farm. Tried to get the black spear back and give it to my jungler but nope you can't do that.

You should be able to switch her oathsworn if your support goes afk, but if they return it should automatically switch back to the original.
Kalista has a timer where she can rebind any other ally, unlimited times. I believe it's 90 seconds or more. Don't know for sure how long you have because i don't play Kalista. The moment it expires, you're stuck with whoever you bound last.
So you can't just change Oathsworn whenever you feel like it. Part of Kalista's gameplay is to be bound to someone for the remainder of the game. Or you could simply tie yourself to a support and then after that mid Talon gets fed, you just change to chuck him in every fight, having able to do a makeshift Malphite + Ori combo. If you wish to do so you can, but you have to do this earlier. Not when the circumstances are right for your team.
I feel like the solution here is making afks happen less, not fixing kalista so she'll work in a situation that shouldn't happen in the first place.
The solution is not to play Kalista. You will never run into this problem again AND the opposing team doesn't get cancer, everyone wins! [slayer-jinx-wink]
I agree. Let her change it once during the game, and delete her ult.
I already have the entire enemy team, my ADC shouldn't be making things harder.

thats because it's not intended that you change mid game to let's say a fed juggernaut and completely dominate.
I know it would mean a lot of animation work, but what if the support gets to stab Kalista with the spear instead of the other way around? Sometimes I see players type things like 'you killed me' when all I did was make them Oathsworn. The act of piercing her would show that you are dedicated to her, would maybe make players quit on her less. Would be weird because you'd have to give a spear to each of their allies and they'd have to choose to use it or not. Use it or lose it.
It doesn't work past 3 min, because that would be kind of over powered if you could switch it to your like 100/0 galio or something and throw him in.

you can rebind your oathsworn but only in the first 3 minutes after binding :P that's quite unfortunate because if my support is

I always assumed she could just change it whenever she wants... guess not.
honestly, Kalista's pact is one of the most useless features in league ._. yes it does enables her ult but the whole animation is the playground of troll kids, I've seen a few wait until they are in lane to make the pact and kill their partner in the process lol
There is also no reason for it to be permanent considering that Taric has the same mechanic but a lot more flexible, of course, displacing someone is a bigger issue than shielding them but perhaps they could implement a system that consumes the black spear after cast and allows you to make a different pact on the spot, like Thresh' lantern for example
