Soraka As a Soraka player I would like to say a few heartfelt words to the people in charge of the new Soraka change: Do you like throwing champions under the bus? Do you like taking champions out of the game by nerfing the fuck out of them and throwing their kit into the garbage? The new Soraka changes are absolute bullshit. You ruined her entirely, do you even play your own game ? I bet you dont because it shows with your shit changes to her. Im happy to let you know that I will still play Soraka due to my loyalty to her, since you guys are incapable of feeling a fucking ounce of connection to any champion in your game. Thanks so much for ruining one of my favorite champs, Im glad that such capable people work at Riot.

For a future note, when you are throwing your nerf hammer around like fucking children, I hope you think before you destroy a champion.

I actually dont think anyone cares. That champion is literal cancer to face. its not fun in the slightest. You wont see anyone outside of soraka mains shedding a tear for her nerfs.

Personally, I would either keep playing him, or juste pick another champ if they are that bad. I mean, I did play Lucian when he was the worst adc in the game last season.

shes actually worse now, the Q always slows, the regen last 4 seconds and the cooldown is only 5 with no CDR.

honestly adapt a bit, max Q first and laugh as you become an unkillable monster. mastery 5 soraka, been playing her since season 1 or 2.

all i can say after playing with the new changes is she is at least twice as hard to kill as before. shes a much worse healer for her team mates now with the W nerf, but the Q buffs are stupid and did the opposite of what was intended.

late game Q was pushing my regen above 60 hp/sec (i switched masteries to grab grasp of undying ) and its just super broken. 40 mana is meaningless after level 2 so its spammable (they might as well just remove the mana cost of it entirely at this point)

i too thought this was going to ruin her, but after using it, its just going to piss even more people off and get her a huge nerf next patch

just did second round with her post patch, bullied the crap out of a leona and jhin. the spammable slow is really overbearing im sure people will adapt, you need to adjust play a bit to really abuse this, i run AR/MR runes and tanky masteries. heal and flash. as long as you grab any sort of mana item early you can spam Q all day and regen the cost by the time the CD is up.

In reality she was so popular and hated in soloqueue because of the decay happening in bot lane.

Supports are having to give up more and more control. Their fate lies in their ADCs hands. At the same time the marksman update made ADCs even deadlier, so a slight lead means so much more than it used to.

Then here comes Soraka allowing her losing ADC to farm and even out trade at times. This is frustrating to ADCs because they feel like nothing should be able to stop their snowball, but especially not a passive support.

Soraka's powerful W made her bot lane less reliant on the jungler and mid laner as well. We all know that some champions in the meta right now are ganking top lane more than in previous seasons. I've been in a few games where some junglers do not apply counter pressure to bot, failing to realize that ADCs bring the whole team down no matter what. A team without an effective ADC will always lose in the current meta.

So basically you could play Soraka and make a difference while staying an actual support who gets Sightstone. You could control your future without becoming a gross AP Brand support with ignite and no Sightstone. Sloppy ADCs are rampant in soloqueue, so she provided a remedy for that. Now snowballs are going to be even more extreme than they were before.

My problem is that they didn't compensate her enough for her W nerf. If they don't want her to heal as much, then they need to make Starcall more viable than they did.

Watch her become better now.

Only way to make Soraka unviable is by completely gutting her numbers and she is one of the few champions who actually deserves to get ruined.

No champion deserves to get ruined, if anything the balance team at riot need to learn how to balance their game and to learn to leave champions like Soraka alone

Akali, Urgot, Katarina, Soraka are champions that need to be redesigned in order to be fully balanced because their designs have poor interaction with their enemies.

Obv your bias won't let you admit it so it's pointless.

Raw nerf on W was good. The only change she needed to compensate for Windspeakers. The rest of her changes have been weirdly obtuse.

What I would have done was just slap Grievous Wounds into her W and call it a day. Astral Infusion - If a champion has taken damage within X seconds and is below 40% hp, your W heals him at 50% effectiveness. Her kit was really balanced around this and made you think which situations you wanted to go ham in (which is interactive, the whole thing they are trying to achieve here).

W didnt need to get nerfed, every time she hits w she gets punished severely for it with health. This makes Soraka a very fragile champ. She didnt need a nerf on anything.

With that out of the way: If a Champion is ruining the GAME, the Champion needs to be ruined. See also: AP Yi.

Forced to kill herself. Because with the current masteries, Warmog's, etc.. She's able to be back at full HP in a few seconds, even without landing her self-heal. The truth is she absolutely was ruining games, because it didn't matter how well you traded. Ever. Soraka just being there would mean the ADC with Soraka would win a trade that they technically lost hard.

Some of this is Soraka's fault, some of it's the fault of itemization, some of it's the fault of the current state of the game. Much like was the same with AP Yi back in the day. It's not necessarily the champion's fault by itself that it ruins games, but it ruins games nonetheless.

The biggest issue I find is Soraka can't heal minions anymore. The rest is easy to play around, but that strategy was amazing. You could deny teh other team last hit, and keep a siege minion alive for 1 more hit against a tower. The last hit taking was a good RISK;REWARD strat for her. She lost health, but stopped the enemy from getting gold.

I'm upset about that.

To be honest, the few times I've seen Sorakas do that it was entirely a misclick when they were trying to heal their ADC...

I used to do it sometimes to be a dick though.

Yeah, when I healed minions, it was most often because my teammate moved unexpectedly at the last moment, but I did occasionally top off an entire minion wave in front of an undefended tower before recalling. I will miss losing that strategy, but it's a small price to pay.

i see some comments saying that you can heal yourself back up with Q sure it's true but it heals you for like 20 - 40 at low levels and those are very low numbers and then when your level 18 or above your Q heals on yourself are still very little its like 100-150 every Q worst part is that its not a instant heal its over time so if your being attacked the heals are going to be very pointless sometimes and her Q's ap scaling is so shit 35% ap scaling on Q is sooo weak tbh i would be fine with that scaling if only they brought back or have kept the center damage that did 150 percent more damage that old soraka Q was the best Q the current soraka Q has shitty scaling and heals are very Q weak thats really it for me If riot could just fix her Q then it would be awesome because in my oppinion i think its just her Q and people say that her Q was a buff but they are wrong its the biggest nerf ever mad on a champion Q the slow isn't even that strong at all and its range is pretty small range which sucks overall current soraka Q is shit and the old soraka Q where it had higher damage in the center was waaaaay better times infinity current soraka Q takes little to no skill so i fell like its just the soraka Q everything else is ok with me
