Fresh Level 30 Account Got Into My Ranked Game

So somehow matchmaking in my silver ranked game, i got a new player who didn't understand the basics of the game. He had literally never played a ranked game before, had less than 70 wins in normals and had no runes at all......... WTF He went teemo bottom (Marksman, but built ap) with TP/Ignite and fed 0/9/0. Game ended before 20min. Great matchmaking quality. After that game i went to his profile. That game was literally the only game in his match history....... He played as if he had never played before. Did nothing but run in and die. How was he not immediately matched against Bronze 5s. It was his first and only ranked game..... Please fix matchmaking.

Actually i had 1k normals before i ranked, also when i qued i didn't get placed against silvers or with silvers.

Uh... your Normals MMR doesn't affect your Ranked MMR.

This use of the word 'effect' is spelt differently when he relates or has to do with a noun. To give effect to what I mean, the normals MMR doesn't AFFECT your ranked MMR (the related item).

Everyone starts with a low silver ish mmr, since thats where the majority of players are in terms of skill level statistically speaking.

If they hadn't played very many ranked games (or any at all), they wouldn't have had a chance for their mmr to drop to a bronze 5 (or wherever) level yet.

Let's face it, silver is still pretty low elo and you're not high enough to be exempt from getting newbies in your games. The best thing for you to do is teach them not flame on the boards about them.

I don't see the issue? Should the default elo be Bronze 5? Because that is the bottom of the barrel.

Silver is where you are usually "ranked" at while being unranked because that's where the majority of the players are. Are you saying you are angry because a new player that could not yet be placed anywhere yet should not be defaulted to where he could very well end up being? It's only statistics.

If anything, you should be angry that you're only average and start working on that. Your teammates really don't matter for your own skillpeak.
