I know it's not my computer or internet because youtube and twitch can run simultaneously and everything is fine, but as soon as the game starts, i can turn everything off, keep lowest possible graphics and such and it's still going to lag me like crazy and I don't know why. I've seen a much higher frequency of players in game experiencing similar things than usual so any chance someone could explain why it's happening all of a sudden?
Yes Daddy PIease6 votesyeah oddly enough used to be a solid 61ms since i started in may but this month ive seen pings up to 200 for a few seconds and a few straight up "you have been disconnected" messages for the fps running a gtx 1070 can go upwards of 350 fps uncapped although i keep it at 144 i now get drops to 0 for a few seconds every so often

Probably a router issue.
The airport wifi actually had less lag than the router for some reason.
junglerboy162 votesGame has been super janky for the past several patches for me (think it started with the first preseason patch).
I've had several games where I or a teammate had a random ping spike in the 7-8,000 range, FPS droping to single digits, or the game crashing on kills, ghost poro spawns, or first ability uses/hits. It's becoming barely playable on some days, while others it's perfectly fine. It's not internet or computer issues, everything is optimized right (I've checked repeatedly) and my school has some of the fastest internet in the USA.
EDIT: For reference, prior to these issues and on days when I don't get them, I run league at 60 FPS and ~30 ping.
JogadorJNC1 votesI usually run league at 120 fps (capped) and nowadays it randomly drops, usually to 30 but today i had to endure 10 minutes of 14 fps and i think i got eye cancer. This annoys me even more so cuz i saved up money to buy a gaming laptop but with these fps drops the broken Surface Pro 3 that i only even got cuz i managed to fix it (yes, i used to play league on a broken tablet) was actually faster, usually running at 50 fps (on the obsolute lowest settings tho).
Glu10Sensitivity1 votessince the last patch, ive had random spikes and I dunno why. loading is also worse. for some reason, I sit at 0, then go to 100 really fast and then I see others get their numbers updated too and sometimes they're fully loaded or other times they're somewhere in between. I'm not sure whats going on.

Sýñ1 votesIt's only been happening to me whenever I leave league open w/o playing for like an hour or if I have other windows open for other games. When ever I restart my PC it runs fine but it never use to have issues with to many tabs open, only since update; also been getting the same lag spikes on PBE too :/

StairCasexd1 votesYep, my net was always consistent until the B patch, I've been seeing lots of lag spikes and even fps drops. But it is hard to tell how much of the ping issues could be on riots side.
nonocere1 votesMy internet is as shitty as always but in FPS I have to say, no matter how high or low are my settings, I keep getting low frames every time I explore the Summoners Rift, not to the point of being unplayable but still feels really weird.

LordGeovanni1 votes66 ping. last year preseason patch 100 ping and dcs galore it went back down to 80 ping months later. this year preseason patch 130 ping steady and spikes over 500. undid every bit of good moving the servers did.

Akaterina1 votesIve been getting worse spikes lately... also the load screen seems to load at a lower resolution for 10-30 sec then when the game actually starts loading go to the proper HD image.
