I think it would be very helpfull to alot of players to add something like matchup statistics to whatever system gives you your ranking at the end of a game. for example. i have been trying to get my fiora mastery 6 and 7 for 2 weeks now. many games i go something like 10-1-8 or something to that degree, and have 200-300 farm depening on game length, but i have also been playing agianst mostly teemo keennen and darius. lanes that hard deny me farm hard in the early game. from what i can tell by looking at other fiora players im not getting my s ranks because my farm is considered low. i dont believe this is a fair system considering farm denial etc. also even in a game like i had today where i passed 350 farm as fiora in a 30 minute game. particiated in all but 2 tower takedowns. helped with every dragon we took and 2 barons. placed plenty of wards and KDA was 14/1/17 and i still only got an a+, i really belive that some kind of change would be helpfull.

I think it would be nice if thy told us after the match how we could improve.

Riot doesn't want to release the numbers on how all of that works because they want players to focus on winning and teamwork instead of just raw stats and running away from fights to keep a good KDR.

My advice:

  1. WARDS; if you aren't placing enough wards you can't get S rank
  2. Farm: You need to be at or above the upper average of farm for that champion in your ELO
  3. Spam: More of my personal conspiracy here, but I once went 18/0 on Cait and got a B+, but my next game 4/2/6 Lux got an S. The difference was ability spam. Think of the way the camera moves in the spectator client; it moves to wherever the most 'action' is happening. That means damaging trades and skills being fired. The more time you force the camera to stay on you, the higher your score will be.

TLDR - Play the game as intended and you get an S grade.

       Play the game for an S grade and you don't get an S grade.

Pretty much that simple.

Ah, the wards huh. I do forget those things sometimes when I have a really good support (and sadly, those are the games when I do exceptionally well)
