Carrying in low gold?

So where should I begin... About a year ago I created a discussion in which I asked for advices to get out of silver as a support main, in fact I didn't take any of them you guys gave me, so it took me around 600+ ranked games to finally reach g5 in season 7. In the end of the season however, I decided to start maining a champ who can deal enough dmg to carry games, even when my adc struggles, I've became an otp Zyra player. On flex ranked I went up from low bronze to my g5 promos very fast by that, but eventually lost them 3 times, I ragequit, and I took a break that lasted several months. However, around 2 weeks ago I came back, again as a Zyra support main, it took me only ONE WEEK and approx. 40 games to get from s3 to g5.(high silver was the rank where i spent like 90% of those 600 games). I'm really amazed how positively maining one champ affected my gameplay. Back then, in season 7 I wanted to play like an LCS player knowing several champs, always picking a counter to the enemy hero, however I realised my mistakes, I had to realise what works in pro scene, doesn't always work in low elo. I learned how to carry games, I dealt the most dmg most of the time, warded and cced as much as i could. But everyghing changed when I entered gold. My mmr was fairly high at this time (now its only s4), and people at this elo use their brain. I cannot stump my lane, cannot harash the enemy adc properly because all the time he aas me instead of lasthitting and/or i get cced by the support usually taking our flash and heal. I played 5 games in gold so far and lost 4 of them! I haven't really lost my lane once, but it just seems to be impossible to deny the enemy lane completely. We might be able to win our lane by 1-2 kills and 15-20 farm, but this is not enough by far to carry a team where all the lanes are lost since the first minutes of the game(including jg) expec5 bot. I'm really frustrated right now. Not because I'm afraid of demotion, because I know, i would be able to carry my way back to gold easily. But I set up a goal, I want to reach platinum at least in soloque before the end of the season, this was my dream ever since I started playing LoL. What do you think? Do I deserve to stay at the rank where I am if I'm unable to simply destroy the enemy lane to give my advantage over to my team? Realistically, what are my chances reaching platinum by the end of the season? For more informations feel free to check my op.gg

I couldn't speak to your statistical chances of reaching plat, but what I will say is this. Logically, where you "belong" is wherever you find a roughly 50% win rate. Because logically speaking, if you win about as often as you lose, you've found your "zone" in terms of how you stack up to your competition. If this place is lower than your goal, it probably means some improvements need to be made.

That said, and I can't guarantee this is what you need to do, but I can suggest it: It could be that, rather than learning to carry your team harder, you need to learn to play with your team more effectively. This is particularly true if you main support. As a support main myself, I find my biggest success when I adapt to my teammates' strengths and weaknesses rather than focus entirely on my own. I've long heard that in Gold, team play starts to become more vital than in Bronze or Silver.

If that theory is true, what you might want to do is brush up on the big picture. Now that your mechanics are solid and you understand your main champion, refining your overall knowledge of things like when to go for objectives, when to push, when to retreat, how much of a risk to take when protecting a teammate... And most of all, recognizing your team's "flow", going in when they go in and pulling back when they pull back... Refining things like this might help you push into the next tier.
