Veigar nerfed to the ground...

My reaction after playing him.. and all 10 players in my game are in consensus agreement

Q got nerfed to the ground. A reliable nuke now a skillshot with little compensation. A staple of Veigar was his reliable QR combo now gone. Now you can dash/blink/flash or just juke to avoid damage. E is now one of the most useless spells, infact its a complete waste to ever use it in lane unless to set up a gank. With how useless this spell is, Riot can at least cut the cooldown in half. R got nerfed which is actually the least damaging compared to the rest but still nerf nonetheless.

Conclusion: Veigar'd should now be the new term for champion butchering, a step up from Olaf'd.

So DFG gets removed.

"Can Veigar get a lil buff maybe?" Says the Veigar players.

"Of course!" Says Riot.

Then this shit happens.

I strongly disagree, on the grounds that I should not have to buy a BV and burn Flash to avoid getting 2 shot by point and click nukes.

I think it'd be cool if they lowered veigar's W delay to a time similar to Karthus' or Cass'.

This way he could choose to have a presence in lane or to just be passive and farm up.

We need to give Lee Sin compensation buffs for losing DFG too.

The thing is that if they lowered his Q cooldown to 3 seconds from 5, that wouldn't make him overpowered or ruin his gameplay pattern. I feel making it a skillshot should have come with a cooldown REDUCTION, not an increase. The CD increase was on account of his amped up farming, which makes sense, but I think it presents an unnecessary problem without an easy solution.

Q got nerfed to the ground. A reliable nuke now a skillshot with little compensation. A staple of Veigar was his reliable QR combo now gone. Now you can dash/blink/flash or just juke to avoid damage.

Little compensation? It has increased range and it can hit up to two targets... Now you have either farm two minions, or farm one and harass at the same time. How is that not compensation?

His E got nerfed pretty hard but their making changes to it on the PBE right now to make it more reliable (dashes stop at the walls now). But maybe now it can be used in teamfights as a follow up stun/zoning skill instead of an instant AOE stun where he can delete you. Trading a flash for a 20-something second CD BASIC ability? How is that not worth? Are you joking? "or just juke," like you can with most non-targeted CC abilities? You SHOULD be able to juke abilities. WTF is this logic.

His core playstyle wasn't his QR combo... It was landing a corner of his E on you and then 100-0 you because you were stunned. Get real, that shit is no fun at all to play against.

The R nerf was actually the most damaging! You don't know how many times people survived with like 30 Hp........... Just because of the R nerf

I loved the everlasting crap out of that midget. See you in four months man....

It seems I hold a very unpopular opinion. And upon further examination of the facts, my opinion may very well be wrong.

(Seriously though, how does one drop to a 35% win rate? Even release Yasuo had around a 36% win rate.)

I really miss when his Q was a target ability, now anyone with 350 movement speed outruns the skillshot, and who cares if they make the projectile faster? Tanks would just take its damage and you won't be able to delete someone in teamfights anymore, but instead you will be deleted. I never fcking had a single problem against his instant stun because it was the only cc he had, and he was squishy like hell and had no mobility.

If Riot doesn't revert these changes I might uninstall...

I'm actually happy with the Q change. Yes, it's not absolutely guaranteed to hit anymore, but keep in mind that it's a very fast skillshot that--unlike Lux--doesn't lose any strength as it passes through its first target. The reduced cooldown at early ranks also makes the start of your farming a little easier. Beyond that, it has much better teamfight potential now, and can be fired blind. I don't know how many times people have secured kills around corners by firing off a well-aimed skillshot.

The rest of the changes, though... Yeah, he needs some buffs somewhere. Mostly on his W and a little on his E.
