How am I Bronze
Hey guys. I was Silver last Season and had a 8--2 record in my seeding games. so they went pretty well. i was quite suprised that i got seeded in b3. is that because i had a negative record in season 5?

Nah, the system (as I've heard) is apparently pretty harsh this season. A lot of people are getting placed lower than they expected :P So imo it's not you :)
The system works by placing you in a slightly lower MMR than where you were. If you are as good as you were last season, you should have no issues climbing back up.
If you had a losing record and a reasonable amount of games played your mmr was probably lower than your Ranking. The new season soft reset takes your mmr(notrank) adds 1200(Silver4mmr) then divides by 2 to get the average. This is your starting mmr for your placements. Then placements adjusts this mmr slightly game by game. After the 10 games riot then places you a division below your mmr as a safety buffer making it so you climb quicker if you win but don't fall quickly if you lose your first couple games.
im pretty sure they added less this season.

Could be idk where the 50% mark was.
I suggest reading this page to learn more about what mmr and elo truly do :D https://boosteria.org/guides/league-of-legends-mmr
NOTE: though this is helpful, this page urges you to elo boost. DON'T
For whatever reason you got put, luckily for you Bronze 3 is close to Silver ! :D So you can without no doubt climb back to where you were friend
What rank in silver? Everyone that was low silver got bronze, high silver got silver 5 if they were lucky and golds and plays got mid/high silver.
You should have an easy time getting out at the very least as long as you're determined and good enough.
