Lux support

I'm a Lux support main in Silver II (I'm in promo for Silver I) and I'm doing pretty good with her, I'm at 64% win ratio with her out of 42 games in ranked this season, and 68% win ratio out of 57 games with her last season, all in ranked and in support role. So unlike many others I'm doing okay with her and I know what to do and how to play her as support. Lux is hard to play because if enemy gets ahead you're going to have a rough time, but in this elo its possible to turn things around with your bind, punishing enemy squishy champions position, and slowly turning things around in your favor. But as I climb I can see that its getting harder to play Lux in support role as players have much better understanding of the game, they know how to punish you for picking Lux support, and they are much better at closing out the games and its much harder to bind enemy ad carry, just because they respect my bind and know how not to get caught. And I can feel that I'm gettting closer to elo where Lux on support role is just unplayable even if I play, hypothetically, insanely good.

So my question is, which elo is it? Is it possible to play Lux support in Gold V, IV...? Are there any Lux supports in Gold elo or higher? I'm already getting prepared for it by mastering other mage supports, I'm pretty good with Karma , she's fun to play but doesnt have that kind of carry potential like others. I'm doing okay with Morgana and Zyra but it will take some time to master them and Brand and Velkoz are next champs I wanna master so I can continue to carry my team as a support even when my Lux stops being an option.

I only play support (Lux. Weird talking in 3rd person), and I've personally climbed to diamond doing it (though I decayed last seasion, RIP). As far as I'm concerned, It's possible to play any champ in any Elo and excel if you're dedicated enough and know the ins and outs of that champion thoroughly. It's a matter of being very good at knowing how the champion works, being able to read and adapt to how your current enemy reacts to your actions, and waiting for them to make a mistake. Basically just play tons :P

Just play whatever you enjoy the most. Stay positive and keep believing! https://i.imgur.com/GBX3lLI.png[/img]

I'm not so sure it could work in any elo, because now I'm in games with last season gold or even plat players and I've had games when I think that I played very well but just couldn't do things that I usually do to carry myself. It could be pulled off with a decent winrate but if I master any other mage support, as I mastered Lux, I would probably have much higher winrate in higher elo. I just dont want to get into situation where I'm in elo where Lux as support is not a thing and with other supports I'm not that good for that elo. Every second game I get flamed in lobby because I pick Lux for a support. Well maybe thats because they dont know I'm good with her :D

Am of the opinion one can get to diamond playing any champion in any role, but also of the opinion that morg sup basically does the same stuff lux sup does, but better.
