Hello! I've played this game for quite some time and just can't seem to meld well with any of the champs :c I've noticed I have no mana control when I'm with someone who uses mana, as in I'm constantly out of mana... So I figure someone without mana will be better for me. Obviously you cant just say "oh you'll do great with this person!" because you dont know how I play XD

What makes thing even more difficult is that I don't really know how I play either. All I know is that people are always getting mad at me for one reason or another ._. Could someone maybe add me to their friends list and teach me how to play and how I should play? And who I should play? Aatrox Akali DrMundo Garen Riven Shen are all the people I have that use no mana. Aatrox I always seem to pop and do very little damage Akali I'm decent with but people always seem to get mad at me DrMundo I'm not very comfortable with. (Scares me to use up my own health for a move) Garen Never really get kills. just running around and spinning .-. Riven I could just never really get a hold of. Shen Never get any kills with him :c

I don't have a ton of help, Honestly I hate to say Learn 2 play, but thats what it boils down to, and PLEASE don't be one of the players that think kills are everything, because they're not I've won many times when down even 15 kills because we took OBJECTIVES, garen has good AD ratios and poke is useless vs him, I dont play Aatrox so I can't really help you then, If you really want to play akali then fine, just ignore people, she is a massive FOTM champ and will most likely get olaf'ed soon. Mundo you kinda just have to man up, when you have less than 40% HP just ult. And if mundo "scares" you then I would not play vlad, because, if you misuse your pool you will die early. and if you can't play aatrox then vlad is like a harder version of aatrox

Tryndamere walk up and right click things. when you get low E away. There you go. Top lane at its most complex.

Sounds like you just need practice and maybe a little reasearch.

Find which champ you LIKE (regardless of whether your good with them yet) Then przctics, practice, practice.

BIGGEST TIP - That I can think of, just conserve mana better. I'd wager your using alot of it to try to poke enemy. Poke some, but farm first and foremost. Unless your sure you can get a kill, dont blow all your mana poking enemy or using it to kill minions. Last hit with AA's whenever possible, punish the enemy with poke if you see a good oppertunity, but dont blow mana for poke/last hitting when it isnt neccesary. Just practice your mana management. And get some sort of mana item early.

Personally, most mana champs(mid's anyways) I get two of the mana regen necklace things(cant frackin remember the name) I'm an aggressive poker and with two of those and pots as starting items I can keep my mana pretty well managed early on

Your problem seems more like you just need to learn more about the game and learn to play better. The only explanation for you running out of mana has to be because you're expending it in lane. If you're a mage you need to rush a Doran's Ring and a chalice/tear ASAP so at least then you won't go oom. You probably need to learn how to last hit with just your auto attacks because I'm assuming your biggest mana sink is using it on CS when you don't have to.

Playing non-mana champions is a way to go, but I don't think it will help you with your spamming issue. It may help, though, so you can try it. It helped my brother transition into the game and play other champions since he didn't have to worry about a mana bar, but I don't think this is your problem. From the champions that you listed, you seem to only care about kills and while they are important, they aren't essential to doing well. CS > kills as CS will always be something that you will constantly be able to get every game. Kills, while they will help, should only supplement your CSing ability, not be your main gold inflow. Also Shen, Mundo, and Garen don't really have much killing potential in general so you shouldn't expect too many kills unless your opponents take too much free damage.

If you want an aggressive, kill-focused manaless champion, you might enjoy playing Rengar . Gnar is immensely fun, and Yasuo is good at farming, getting kills and spamming spells.

While I obviously don't know how you play, from your post I'm guessing your issue with mana is that you're being way too aggressive with spells and are constantly going for kills. Not all champions are kill-focused (Shen heavily focuses on farming early, for example), and it matters more to cast your spells at the right time rather than just use then when they're available. Mana management is more of a thing you slide into, rather than something you think about constantly, but ideally you should be getting several minions in between spell casts (you should also prioritize minions over champions early on, unless you're really strong and want to zone out your opponent, or you feel you can kill your opponent super-early). Remember that autoattacks early on are nearly as powerful, if not just as powerful, as a lot of spells, particularly if you're ranged, so use them whenever you can to deal damage. I recommend you start with champions who have really lax mana management (Darius , Velkoz , or Rammus , for example, or just a jungler) and practice your mana usage on them first, before moving onto other champions.
