It used to be; A good Katarina could beat a decent Orianna in a manner of skill - even though Orianna is a pretty good counter.

a bad Orianna can beat a good Katarina, in a matter of mages being the new assassins. Ori can combo kill + auto attack a katarina to death before any kind of (passive) dagger play can happen. Throw a dagger in the air for move speed, and yep youre dead before it lands.
Sad but true.
two things:
fix those two issues and i think new kat would be insane. of course they wont do this tho and instead buff her damage or some other random bull shit that will break her and force nerfs elsewhere.
right now im trying her out with 45% CDR, seems to be working.
Actually... a good Katarina could of won a pro Orianna... A pro Katarina could of made the pro Orianna make a rage thread in the boards cough was just once, pretty much lost my access to EUW boards after I answered to him cough and now a good Katarina can beat only Lee Sin, Orianna, Zed (early game) and idk... a horrible Syndra? While a pro Katarina can still beat a good Orianna a bad syndra and a pro Lee sin... That's pretty much it. I'm not adding Xerath or Swain in the list because nobody plays them anymore and they were easy kills even for a bad Kata in the past, now they are free kills more than ever... A good or pro Ziggs on the other hand... You can just dream to beat him no matter what your skill level is.
P.S I hate the new kit and want the old one back, but I'm not stupid... Orianna ain't even an issue... never understood the whine about her.
oh one other thing, she should be able to ward hop again.
