Could we allow an official role swap in Queue?

In this match the yasuo got autofilled support and I was top lane. We swapped lanes because he really wanted top. I have no problem with this happening from time to time. The only problem I have with this is that I don't get the autofill protection that support usually gets me.

I would appreciate if if we could officially swap roles, so that if I play a game as support, I also get the autofill protection.

I'm sure riot will eventually make this a priority as it seems like a common sense inclusion.

Don't agree. You didn't get autofilled and you basically agreed to fill the support role. You weren't forced into it like Yasuo was. Plus, it can get abused by premades.

The saddest part of autofill is when you can actualy play support (even if it's just Blitzcrank ) and swap with the guy, but can't do it or you lose your protection.

it's not even the autofill protection, having a function that allows official role swop just makes role swop a lot easier to coordinate.

This would also help support a system where players could have separate MMR for each role... which would be pretty cool if Riot implemented it. Just sayin.

I've been thinking of this for so long! It's such a simple and effective idea, and there would be less confusion if there's a lot of role swapping as to who's going where.

My only concern is supports who switch with other lanes and then the grade at the end of the game. If I went into a lobby with support but end up playing top is my grade affected because the game thinks I'm playing support but I have top Lane her income. Vice versa

I wonder if thatd be abused much. Easy to see idiots demanding you swap the title with them because they hate being autofilled, but i can also see people just never thinking of that if the system is subtle.

Maybe it should just be a matter of "game sees where you actually went during the game and gives autofill protection accordingly" rather than putting it in the hands of the players
