As of right now, I am Silver 1, and have Gold 1 MMR according to OP.GG. With that being said, when I enter my promos will I be skipping over any elos or will I still have to climb through everything like usual? Also, if I start playing with my friend who has never played ranked before, will that drop my mmr?

o0O Madoka O0o1 votesYou should be skipped to around gold 3/4 according to my experience. The op.gg estimate is not guaranteed accurate, so sometimes you are just slightly off for a skip （which sucks).
I was Gold V with op.gg estimate of Plat 4, and I skipped to gold 3 (with still relatively high LP gain per game, 25 to 26 to be exact).
I haven't played since I ended my winning streak though. It was like 14 games or so.
