Why Riot Games should reinstate B.F.Glaive in Twisted Treeline (and alternate gamemods)

Hey there !

A friend of mine is a 3v3 player and we talked about different modifications that Riot has done on Twisted Treeline items. My friend has a special request for Riot Games about items in 3v3. I find it's better to post this on US board. So let me give you his argumentation :)

#Introduction - Extract from 4.1 PatchNotes :

Much like when we removed Needlessly Large Rod from Twisted Treeline and Crystal Scar (due to its high cost in a faster game mode), we’re doing the same with B.F. Sword while reintroducing items with alternative build paths. Lord Van Damm’s Pillager has the exact same stats and total cost as Infinity Edge, but is easier to build up over time.

So you kicked B.F. And NLR out of the game because it was too expansive but with the big changes made to AP items, you reinstated NLR since it saw its cost reduced, and it took back its place in (sometimes) modified recipes. Then, since you changed AD items and reduce the cost (and power) of the B.F, it could be reinstated in 3c3,

Thus, it would be nice for the map because you could also add the Essence Reaver, whose presence may be required for some champions (especially Caster Marksmen : Ezreal, Lucian, Quinn, who fit the 3c3 philosophy). Also you could decide to revert the choice of Dervish Blade and Sanguine Blade as fake Mercurial and BloodThirster since they are not worth for the first, and useless for the second. We can agree that both of them are far away from their originals in term of usefulness.

Thanks for your time, and I hope for an answer even if my proposition is declined.

Agree on everything but item 3137 and item 3181 . They should stay while the old ones return as they are different items with different usecases. With Sanguin actually beeing superior to BT on Aa-focused chamnps. It gives the same ad and nearly the same lifesteal at full stacks, costing 1300g(a full BF) less.

Dervish was specifically meant to be focused towards aa-focused champs instead of assassins. Replacing the Stinger with a Recurve Bow might be reasonable though. Sanguine's typically better than Bloodthirster, again particularly for aa-focused champs, until late-game when slot-efficiency matters. Pillager is better than IE as a stat-stick and arguably better when strictly stacking AD.

Of course, it'd still be nice if BF Sword was re-added to the Crystal Scar and Twisted Treeline. However, the variant items aren't entirely useless; they just fill different niches.
