Make BOT games more balanced for beginners (don't let a gold player play with beginners)

I recently got my girlfriend into playing League. For obvious reasons, she wanted to start out playing AI games to learn, and I went into these games as her support (she wanted to play ADC). After just a few bot games, we both noticed an unfortunate trend. Here we would be, playing bot lane, with me trying to teach her some of how to play. However in almost every game, there would be people going 25/0 scores and the like. Whenever she was primed to get a kill, some fed person on our team would swoop in and get the last hit, which of course led to great frustration.

I am not suggesting MMR matchmaking for bot games, but I think something to combat this would be very helpful for people who are just trying to learn the game. Every game ending with them going 1/5/20, and fed teammates who probably are not in the AI game to actually learn, makes it a little bit harder to stay interested.

One possible idea I had was to break the AI community into 2 groups. The first being people who have never played all 10 games in their ranked provisionals, and the other being players who have. Simply put, don't allow any players who have passed their provisionals to queue in AI games with those who have not. It will not completely eradicate this from happening, but i think that it would go a long way to making it less frustrating for new players.

Why not hop into some custom games against bots?

Isn't the split you desire sort of captured by beginner/intermediate? Or do people play beginner in spite of intermediate being clearly better for their skill level?

I don't play bot games all that much.

i play bots solely because its a guaranteed quick free first win of the day, granted i go intermediate because its better IP, 85%int vs 50%beg.

however I've done beginner to teach new players before, concepts like last hitting and not to chase when they're faster etc.

theres no reason to add in elo because its a free win every time no matter what skill level you are.

Custom matches. Add bots to enemy team. Easy.
