Spellbinder

Does anyone else feel like this item is forced onto them? I was happy with Morrello's and Luden's pre-patch and now I feel obligated to get this wonky item and find a way to put it into my burst (Ahri). I understand that Morrello's was too strong but I feel like since Luden's purpose was changed we need a more reliable item to fill that void as opposed to only Spellbinder. I know there are other options, but 100 ap and 10% ms are far too good to pass up on, and other options seem to be either situational (Liandrys) or too weak (Twin Shadows).

Anyways sorry for the rant, tell me what you guys think of the item.

I feel it would probably be good to go item 3003 into spellbinder or item 3285 into spellbinder now for most mages now imo. You can probably even just get item 3070 / item 3802 (depending on which one of those 2 you get) and then just rush spellbinder if you wanted it. As for that item being forced on to them, it really depends on who you are playing. In Ahri's case, yea she probably might want to grab that item but you could skip it if you needed a bit more HP and defenses/utility.

Yeah I forgot to mention I was picturing it as my usual second item after item 3285 I'm sure I'll get used to it, I don't hate active items or anything, I just don't like this one particularly.

Yea it'll take a bit of time to get used to all the changes as there was a lot. And Spellbinder is a pretty interesting item, I haven't had much chance to try it out yet myself. Though if you feel like it's the only real option as your 2nd item to add to your burst, the new Morello is probably a decent option for 2nd items since it has magic pen on it with grevious wounds that has no hp threshold finally lol.

And I get what you mean about active items, and actually thinking about it...there is a decent amount of active item mage items now to keep track of lol. item 3030 item 3152 item 3146 item 3040 item 3312 item 3157 + Spellbinder, and + Twin Shadows

i have yet to try it out.. i really want to. I'm very curious as to the stacking range and rate and if your own spells count toward it. it's could very VERY good on ap supports.
