Stack Guideline for Nasus?
I'm attempting to main Nasus and I'm just wondering, what is a general amount of stacks you want for; 10 min, 20 min, 30 min and 40 minutes?

10 mins you should aim for 100, 15 250, 20 300. Anything above that is ideal but not required.
Also, don't greed for stacks ; remember this easy chart while laning : xp>gold>stacks
CS would be the same as anyone, i.e. 10 cs/min is the ideal. More is possible if you're a god, but your csing mechanics are probably pretty tight if you're hitting 9-10 cs/min.
Q stacks on the other hand are the more nuanced thing for nasus which I'm less familiar with guidelines on in terms of what is good/average/behind, since (as a side effect of your cdr being a factor) your stacks/min for the first 10 min is gonna be quite a bit less than stacks/min in mid/late.
Whoops, I accidently used the word CS, but yeah I meant stacks. Usually I get about 300 stacks per minute, and I hear others say they get about 500 which I don't even find possible
Press Q on dying minion. Stacks gained.
Guideline Over. You have achieved God.
I understand this haha, I want to know what some of the guidelines are though, like how many stacks on average you should have in [x] minutes
i know xD. im just messing around with ya lol.
#Memes amiright? or amiright. i'm right, right?
Right.
at 20 minutes if you dont have at least 250 stacks you're behind quite a bit. If you have over 350 stacks you're killing it.
Okay, this helps, any chance you know where you should be around 10 minutes / 30 minutes?

the 10 minute mark is meaningless, you probably wont have 40% cdr or wouldnt have had it long enough to matter, the 20 minute is the pivotal moment of determining where you are in terms of appropriate power.
You'll be amazed at how a behind bullied nasus can quickly stack up to acceptable levels from 10 to 20 minutes and how an ahead nasus can see too much red and end up understacking from 10 to 20 minutes.
30 minutes shouldnt matter, be above 500 and you've reached your indomitable late game dueling power.
Like I said, 20 minutes is THE pivotal moment for nasus where you check your stacks.
Assuming you'd want at least two stacks from each wave, you're probably lookin at like, at least equal to your CS by ten min. If you can get more than awesome but harass won't always allow it.
As your CD gets lower you can basically stack off a whole wave so I figure past the 10 min mark it starts getting a little ridiculous, like at LEAST +9 stacks per wave.
From what I've seen the absolute minimum line of usefulness is 100 stacks every 10 minutes. If you are doing worse than that you will never be able to do Nasus things, and this goes for odd builds like klepto where you don't stack minions that much. Ideal for a stack focused build is 200-300 every 10 minutes.
If you're AP your stack count helps but ultimately doesn't matter that much, and if you are full AD and you're not feeding you have enough stacks.
Thanks for the reply, any chance you know when a good time would be to stop stacking and start playing with the team? Like how many stacks should you be at when you decide it's enough and start to participate in team fights? Some people will often flame me for over-farming and not participating in team fights 20-25 minutes into the game.
I haven't played Nasus much since the new runes came out and everything sped up, but I would start actively pushing down towers around 200 stacks. When you group with your team depends on how easy it is for you to split push without dying, and how well your team can fight without you, but at the very least get to 200 stacks before you start moving around.
Just keep in mind that, as the team's top laner, it is up to you to play your role. People flaming you just means they get muted and reported, and if they wanted to play top lane they should have queued for it. It is ultimately your decision, and if you decide you want to stack up a bit more instead of breaking a stalemate elsewhere on the map that's your choice to make.
Obviously stop stacking if the enemy tries to take out your base, but ultimately the decision is yours.
Okay this helps a lot, thank you!
200ish stacks with your sheen means it's tower-pushing time. Your team will flame if you're leaving them to 4v5, but if you're doing your job then you're going to treat every turret like a wet paper towel and the enemy will send one or two people to deal with you. That means your team should only be dealing with three or four people, so you're fine. Get your stacks whenever you have a chance but try to push and mow down turrets as a priority.
Nasus doesn't bring much to a teamfight. CC, GW, etc., make you incapable of doing your job. If your team is doing their jobs and you're doing yours, you can split effectively and 1v1/1v2 where Nasus is exponentially more effective.
Hi!
First thing is the runes. Play with Precision-Press the attack-Triumph-Bloodline-Last Stand + Sorcery-The Ultimate Hat-Transendence. The attackspeed you get from Precision might seem wierd, but its actually=cooldown reduction, it will save you 0.5 seconds from 1 Q which at lvl 1 is equal to 7%cdr. Press the attack after 3 autoattacks will buff your q-s a lot and there is bloodline to add some lifesteal. So basically with these runes you have no counter.
As for the stacks, start with boots and 4 potions. This way if you have a champion who pokes a lot, you can go get your stacks and back taking less dmg + you have the potions to get your health back. Its very important to start like this, because you will want to play defensive and stack under tower and to do that you must have done well with the early stacks. After you went b and got the Sheen, then just Q the minions everytime you have Q ready. If you see the Q cooldown is about to reset and the minion is not ready for stack then help it out with some Autoattacks so that when Q is ready you can stack.
Then comes the 3rd phase which is you let the enemy poke you but just keep on stacking without attacking them. This way they will lose all of their mana and you just wait for their mana bar to be empty to get a free kill. After you kill the enemy toplaner, push, but always keep stacking. What I mean is attack the tower with normal Autoattacks and then Q every minion that comes. Dont worry about the tower, because if you play like this and stack good you can take all towers until the inhib within 1 min.
This Strategy is the best I have come up with so far, with my record being set at 23 mins - 700 stacks :) Good Luck
Wow. 700 stacks is amazing in 23 minutes haha, I will definetely give this strategy a try!
